Assuming Ronnie doesn't manage to land the 6ft 4inch experienced midfielder he's been pursuing, it leaves us with few options for Saturday. Think it's time to battle down the hatches, pack the midfield and try to hit the Wombles on the break.

Team

Carson

Duckworth, Magnus Jones Carroll

Oates, Hendrie, Featherstone, Bates, Banton

Bingham

Subs: Paynter, Smith, Bartlett, Oyenuga, Fenwick, Russ Green, Gary Coxhall.

Kirsty.....without wanting to sound picky the term is 'batten down the hatches'....for future reference.

"Battle down the hatches" does have an authentic ring to it though. Desperate times need desperate language.

One of the depressing things is how quickly things have moved from me going to every home match, to not even knowing who people are talking about when they do 'team selections'. The only three I'd recognise there are Duckworth, Bingham and Paynter.

Bates in for Harrison, and Woods in for Walker and Duckworth in for Hendrie.

Still got Featherstone and Carroll in the midfield.

Oh well they have massive big forwards who will torture Bates and we'll have the invisible men in midfield in Feathers and Carroll.

They'll score inside 10 mins too and then it will be game over.

Hard to disagree. Moore clearly doesn't have the conviction of his post match assessment last week. Starting to get over the Ronnie Moore love in......
