I cannot believe moore said this about bingham. If he still believes this we are in trouble. Moore clearly not a fan of fenwick who is our only real goalscorer.

Its also worrying moore desperate for more loan players he signed a whole new team in the summer.

He's probably just keeping the lads head up as he really needs a goal, he's playing well apart from that and I'd pick him every single time over Fenwick.

Moore said this at start of season. His record as a pro footballer is poor. He will never be a goal scorer. 10 a season man. Fenwick will get you 15 to 20.

he's still a kid pretty much, could easily be another Jermaine Easter. He gets several chances a match because of his own good play, i reckon he'll come good.

Fenwick on the other hand only looks like he can score the odd goal, he doesn't have much else

er. no he isn't. fenwick's an overrated baby who needs to fucking remember where he came from instead of flouncing about the pitch like a tit.

I liked Fenwick last season but he still had poor games. I really thought he would come good this season but I certainly over rated him. I always thought his all round game was poor but felt he was a goalscorer. based on tuesday night and when he came on saturday, I would say he cares more about tryng to wrestle the defenders and falling to the floor too often than actually scoring goals. I would pick bingham over him.

Anyone with half a brain cell would pick Bingham over Fenwick.

Like has been said. Bingham is still a young striker. He's getting into the right areas and positions to have these opportunities on goal. He's obviously just lacking a little confidence in his finishing ability. As frustrating as it was watching him miss them key chances on Saturday he needs the backing of all the fans as he will come good he's a cracking players who's exciting to watch and can trouble defenders at this level.

People didn't like it after the Exeter game when I said Bingham's finishing was a liability, admittedly when I said this he had missed a penalty and we had gone down in a last minute defeat but after yesterday I will stand up for him. My main issue was the amount of times he doesn't even hit the target which yesterday he did some 5 times and took some good saves.

I won't criticise a player for working the keeper and he keeps getting himself in positions and having a go when he could easily have gone hiding so fair play to him for that. He is over thinking it a bit when he gets chances rather than going on instinct but that is just confidence so hopefully it won't be too long before manages to nick one in and believe again.

The volley Tyler saved in the second half low down to his right was some save Rakish couldn't have hit that any better. All the more impressive when you consider Tyler must be in his mid fifties.

Fenwick and Brad Walker pissed me off yesterday, just after the third goal they were whispering and laughing whilst warming up. They could have been talking about anything but it's not he brightest thing to do in front of a stand full of Pools fans when we've just conceded two in a few minutes even if it was perfectly innocent. Espeically when they had both been dropped. I get the feeling he's more about Scott Fenwick than Hartlepool United and possibly why him and Walker are in and out of the team. Bad egg? Possibly I'd say.

Be nice to see Oates get a goal, I like him despite some morons getting on his back all the time.

Not sure why anyone would be on his back he was excellent first half yesterday, probably the best player on the pitch he looks a very promising signing to me.

I like Fenwick and think he has a chance of making it but I get the feeling he thinks he's a lot better than he is right now. I don't have a problem with self confidence that you need to get your head down and improve rather than sulk and moan.

I don't think he had his best game yesterday but he set up our goal, looks to whip the ball in with both feet and really didn't deserve getting stick. The goals conceded were nothing to do with him so I was perplexed why they waited till the third goal went in to decide it was all his fault.

Personally I might have taken him off just for the sake of changing something in hope of a spark but when people were getting at him I think the right thing to do was leave him on and show faith; he's a young player who will learn from such defeats.

This, he was probably used to being the "star" player at an amateur level but he really needs to improve. I really want to see him do well but he just needs to get his head down and start playing instead of amateur stuff like trying to pick a fight with the opposition. I also noticed when we had a freekick in the first half which Scott Harrison blammed over, Fenwick was chatting with the Luton subs and when it went over he pointed and cracked a smile.

We had 17 odd shots v Luton.
More posession
More corners.
More shots on target.
We lost the main stat 1 4.

These stats prove that the 442 the majority of fans have been wanting for weeks creates a lot more goalscoring opportunities.
Binghams electric pace enabled him to get plenty of shots in and create a few of the one on ones with there keeper.

First choice forward for me all day long especially in a 442 formation.

4-4-2 may be old fashioned but i think we need to go back to basics for now to start picking up some points, my team for saturday would be.

Carson (If Fit)

Halliday
Jones
Harrison
Carroll

Smith
Woods
Featherstone
Oates

Bingham
Paynter

Magnay will be a big loss for us.

magnay is going to be a huge miss if the 6 match ban stands

oates and smith aren't out and out wingers but 2 of the better performers on saturday and I've been very impressed with Oates since he came into the team.....he certainly knows how to put an excellent cross into the box

I don't think the Luton keeper got anywhere enough credit for all the chances Bingham'missed'. It's a long time since I've seen a keeper play that well.

Bingham will come good, and I reckon Fenwick will too. I really think Oates has got what it takes, he was excellent in the first half.

I agree keeper had a blinder! I also think we've got a lot to look forward too with this squad. Quite a few good young players such as oates, Bingham, Smith and walker plus many more. We might be greatly inconsistent at the minute with our results but the football has been far more entertaining to what we were playing last season. I think results will come and we should still be looking at a top 10 finish.
