How dare you start a thread that is not Politics related!

Cambridge look decent despite some results. Corr will destroy our leaky defence and we won't cope with the balls over the top from midfield. 0-3 Cambridge

Crowd 3,200 odd

Think it will be close, low scoring and settled by the odd goal.

Hoping Pools can do a Corbyn and upset the odds...

2-1 Pools (Paynter, Bingham)

1-1. Corr and Kudos.

This is Kudos' time. That dad bod has been finely tuned and looks to be in great shape to fire home in the 93rd minute. And he'll go on to prove he's not just another Sidney "sent to me from heaven" Schmeltz

I do believe Corr is injured.

3-2 Pools for me. Featherstone to get on the score sheet.

Back to riding our luck for an undeserved 2-1 win.

It could go one of three ways and I have no idea which way it will go.

I'll be sitting on the fence for this one.

Interesting quote from Ronnie

“Cambridge are a physical side but they have good players who can play – I actually tried to sign two of their centre-backs during the summer but couldn’t get near them on wages really.

Its not the first time Ronnie has mentioned Cambridge regarding not been able to compete with them on the wages front. Once upon a time when ior first took over it was us that clubs were saying they couldn't compete wages wise with us. Bit of a shame that we cant compete with them regarding wages despite having just been taken over but I guess that's just life following pools.

I think Ronnies quote that we cant financialy compete with Cambridge is that the new owners dont have a pot to piss in.With only 1 more game afta tomoro before the Loan Window shuts it dosent look like any quality players in the mould of Tishbola n Mirfin will be added to the squad.
I give Russ Green the benefit of the doubt regarding working with the new owners but nothing seems to of changed the club lacks any real ambition happy bullshitting the fans. The so called ambition dissapears rapidly once the season ticket deadline expires.
I mite seem a bit harsh but I dont class finishing a bit higher than last season as progress.
Clubs in progress who nearly went out the league are Wycombe n Carlisle who have the same sort of fan base as ours.
Injuries and bad luck are no excuse for constant relegation battles.
Thats a serious lack of Ambition.

Need to wake up if you seriously believe that.

Not sure how you are comparing Carlisle and Wycombe either as teams who take near relegation to turning it round. Wycombe maybe, but they are what I imagine a 1 off for that big of a turn around and certainly weren't as bad as we were for such a long time when they got just survived relegation.

We were one of three incredibly poor sides last season and to expect a sudden promotion charge is just, well ridiculous. Mid table would be deemed progress to me, with another summer of clearing out and recruiting

Gonna be a long season. I hope we have a couple of teams who are on a level with Tranmere and Cheltenham from last season.

The best chances we had to score came from the right back, damn good player he is, our forwards would struggle to find a 10lb clit on a 5lb pussy banghead

Gonna presume said crank is aimed at me. I said mid table would be deemed progress, not that is he progress. We were shit today but for last 30 minutes only team trying to win.

The squad is massively unbalanced and I'm not sure we've improved that much, if at all from the end of the season

Watching a different game to me clearly.

How can you possibly be critical when we were clearly the better team and just couldn't manage to stick one of the chances away?

Miserable buggers.

Cambridge made a packet out of the fa cup last year, home and away against man yoo, both sell outs and both live on TV. That money has clearly been invested in the team, fair play to the owners. I work with a Sarfend fan who said they lost Barry corr to Cambridge as they just couldn't compete with the wages he was offered.

Not sure where they invested money, either that or they were trying to make us look good, especially the second half sctatchinghead

I personally enjoyed Richard Money's comments in today's "Mirror" as Cambridge were without a few key players

"If Man Utd play without key players then they aren't going to be as good as they can be"
