1) Firstly, open up the turnstiles on the Cyril Knowles side and employ 5 or 6 people on the turnstiles to sell the tickets from there. We do not need any database bollocks for this game, as if the club are insistent on using the stupid thing it will cause more problems than its worth. We wouldn't have needed to be on the database if we turned up at Rochdale, and there's no need for us to be now.

2) Give season ticket holders just one day to buy their tickets and move every other day back so it gives an extra 24 hours for general sale

3) Arrange some kind of collection from Rochdale system

4) Have someone on the phones for the full week for exiled fans

Doing the above should prevent 99% of people from being pissed off but number 1 is the key to saving a lot of unneccesary bother.

I'd be surprised if they did any of the 4 though

It would be a good chance to prove that the club actually do care about the fans and we're not just customers.

Who makes these decisions anyway? Is it Maureen Smith? The Chief Exec? Miss Precious? Dibble?

If they want a stub system then surely the fairest way is to go with 1 stub, the Notts County stub then everyone knows in advance to keep it.

A few weeks if not months ago, they put something on the official site advising you to keep all stubs for the rest of the season incase of situations like this. They'll use that as their back up argument when in truth, its bullshit.

There is of course alternative 5) which is to support a club which has a computer in their offices and book tickets to watch said club online without queueing up for hours. Now if you are not a die heart Pools fan and your kids want to go to a game which option would you go for. And when kids are running around Hartlepool in Mackem or Boro shirts at least you'll know one reason why they never started off going to Pools.

Ticketing has been a problem at Pools for at least the past five years. Its high time it was sorted out.

Hows this sound

If they insist on using the stub/season tickets system then surely all those with stubs/season tickets will already be on the database so tickets can be sold on the turnstiles.

MONDAY
2000 tickets at the town end turnstiles for season ticket holders, the rest at the CK turnstile for stub holders, turnstiles open until 8p.m.
TUESDAY & onwards
General sale from the ticket office with blood samples taken for the database

Have we got 4000 tickets? Cos if we have I think everyone will get one.

We'll do well to sell the lot.

Whatever happens there are LOTS of better ways than this way.

The club has progressed in SO MANY ways over the past decade, but this ticketing system NEEDS a MAJOR overhaul.

The most frustrating this is that we say this every fucking year!!!
