Humphreys was on the bench for them yesterday, I thought he had hung up his boots?

He really looked finished during his last couple of years for us, I'm surprised he's still cutting it for a decent team at that level. Maybe it was just the general malaise at Pools at the time?

Spoke to him whilst on holiday and he said he had signed for one more year, which he seemed happy with.

Of course he was happy with it. He knows no other football league club would give him a deal.

We'll soon reach the '2 years since he left anniversary' I hope a minute's silence/applause is arranged at the closest match plus obviously a dozen events.

It wasn't bait, I was genuinely surprised to see him still in the mix for a side near the top of League One. I really expected him to be playing at Darlington 8.32 to Lowestoft by now. Must be the Gary Liddle effect I suppose, which seems to have featured with a lot of Pools players from that era.
