Should Ronnie rest 1or 2 players for tomorrows night game and keep them fit for Carlisle on Saturday.

Just looking at woods and paynter in the last 2 games look as though they're carry knocks.

I was indeed myself thinking resting Paynter would not be a daft idea. Get him ready for his showdown with Keith Curle on Saturday!!

I'd rest Woods as much as possible with his injury record and his growing importance to the team.

I,d go 4 4 2 and play Conner Smith on the left wing.
Will give the forwards some better service.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a much more conservative 5 at the back with Dan Jones coming in for Fenwick. You could rest Woods and give Walker a go but I think he could get murdered out there, with there style of play it is probably a game made more for Woods style. Good to see Oates going to get a go thought

To think, its not so long ago supporters of lower division teams used to moan about premier league teams fielding weakened teams in the league Cup.

Being realistic, unless Bournemouth field their U21's we're unlikely to win. Not being defeatist at all, just realistic. Of course if would be great to win and if we field our first 11 we have a reasonable-ish chance of an upset but I doubt it. With that in mind, I think it's an opportunity to rest a few and give some of the squad players 90 minutes as well as trying a different system.

Will be good to see Oates from the start and I'd also start Nelson-Addy. Oyenuga clearly isn't fit so I doubt we'll see him.

We can win tomorrow, even if they field a strong team.

You're playing a very dangerous game talking about fielding reserves in a game against Premier League opposition. We've got to give the game a good go or what was the point in even winning at Fleetwood? If players like Paynter are carrying knocks then fair enough, save him for Saturday. But that situation is win win because we have a young lad waiting in the wings who's desperate for opportunity to impress. Otherwise I see no need whatsoever to 'rest' anyone five games into a season. I'm sure none of the lads who grafted for a win in the last round want to miss the game or fancy a rest. Let's give it a right go.

It's a sad state of affairs that Premiership teams can't be arsed with this cup, if League 2 teams also start playing 2nd teams then may aswell scrap it.

Rest players who are carrying knocks, but the rest of it should be as close to full strength as possible.

I'm with PJ have a go we have nothing to lose whatsoever. Could be mega bucks on offer in the next round or even a televised game. Who knows.

I would be fucking fuming if I was a league two player that was told to rest and miss a chance to play against a premier league team.

That covers it methinks.

FFS 4 games in and we are talking about'resting' players, Ok Woods due the serious injury he sustained or maybe a player who is carrying a knock which could be aggravated. I always thought that playing games was better than training ?
