in my opinion. as long as we do the business that will leave walsall 5 points behind going into saturdays game.putting them under a bit of extra pressure? ideal scenario is for a big pools win to wipe out that goal difference as well.

Nice sentiment but that won't happen. Matches at this time of the season tend to be 1 goal wins. Doubt if DW is concerned by GD, just getting the 3 points would be top of his agenda.

But my answer has nothing to do with life's perennial division 4 strugglers. Dawlish would like a big win, I simply indicated that the likelyhood of that is very low. DW would take 3 scrappy 1 -0 wins now. There is too much riding on those 3 games to go gung-ho.

Looking at the tables, Notts cty still have a play off spot opportunity. I would presume that they will come to defend and keep it tight whilst hoping to nick one on the break. Notts would go 8th should that happen.

It's squeaky bum time chaps

True, but that Championship title is sooooo close. 1 bad result may cost you it. It's squeaky bum time whether you think it or not.

Personally, i hope you dick Notts 9-0.

You are correct Kev, 1 bad result in 6 months. Your run in is against sides that at this moment all harbour aspirations of 7th. This weekend will no doubt kill off a few of them, but, just because you've only lost one doesn't mean you can't lose another. DW will not under-estimate any of your next 3 opponents and i'm sure you'll look to keep it tight, not concede and get a goal yourself. All i'm saying is at this time of the season with so much riding on the next 3 games, i expect results to be ground out rather than won with aplomb. You are in a fantastic position, fully deserved may i add, but you still have 3 games you must win at this moments to get the title.

No, we just need to score not less than one less point than Walsall. We don't have to travel to Swindon who have a superb home record, only two points less than us won at home. Notionally Swindon can win the title as well. They won't though.

Was that a bit like when we played Hereford, Lincoln, Stockport and you lot all on the bounce?? Three weeks after Swindon and Walsall back to back?? With three strugglers sandwiched in?? We scored three in four of them six games as well. Amid much sucking of teeth and shaking of heads from the sage.

Saw 'em, fu cked 'em, spat 'em out!!

Kev, what's gone has gone. What you did to all those teams got you promoted. What you do in the next 3 can win the title.

Playing Friday can be a double edged sword. If you win you put pressure on Warsaw to keep up. If you fail to win, they go into their game with renewed hope.

Footy has a funny way of kicking you when you least expect it. Barnet is a prime example of that Take nothing for granted, expect the worst and be surprised and relieved when it goes your way.

if we lose it doesn't matter when it happens,it would put us on the back foot wheteher it were friday or saturday. but we have already beaten these 3 teams without conceding a goal.
I can't imagine that any side with an outside chance of the play offs is going to be thrilled at playing us in this situation.

cant see fridays game getting the goal difference up to be honest. reading the reports of the notts county/walsall game general consensus was that county absolutely battered the saddlers.

they have been in good form of late and will be a cut above accrington and chester. i would take one nil now, even though the last 15 minutes would be absolute agony.

can anyone realistically see scotties bury getting owt at walsall on saturday ?

That's a bit OTT, they didn't batter us at all. They played well, but as said before if don't matter how well you play it's balls in the back of the net that count.

Bury need a point to stay ahead of Wrexham and Boston in the event that them two win. I can see them putting nine behind the ball.

Sarf I'm throwing caution to the wind. That little 'p' or whatever we're having in the cyber age means I can stop worrying. What pleases me is that the team have stayed focussed, they want it so bad you can taste it for them and they are supremely capable of getting it.

Whatever happens, on the 1st June I won't be looking for the dire days out at Accy, or Boston, or Macclesfield or Barnet. The rest is nice and I'm sure we'll achieve it. But the party started on Saturday night and I'm conga'ing round the Far East until May 5th.

Then I'm gonna conga some more!!

Join on lads!! DADADADA DAH DAH!! DADADADA DAH DAH!! NER NER NER NER!!! clappp :sweeeet: clappp :sweeeet: clappp :sweeeet: clappp :sweeeet: clappp
