Was it really Paynter on Saturday? - Bates seemed to be more commanding from where I was standing.

Who should it be (mind, I know some will say that it doesn't really matter)?

Woods for me........

Pre season kick abouts and who wears a piece of fabric and tosses a coin at the start of the game.

The two things I couldn't care less about covered in one topic

So, in PJ-Land the idea of practising or rehearsals is redundant? And the concept of 'leadership' hasn't yet evolved?

So, how is life in the world of bottom-feeding algae? :angry-screaming:

Never suggested they are redundant they are very important for the players, that doesn't mean I enjoy or want to watch them though. Run me through the last memorable pre season game you watched?

Leadership is also an important part of the game but any of the eleven can be vocal or lead by example in performance. You don't need an arm band.

So you don't need a focal point leader?

Many memorable pre-season games - some simply from the point of entertainment (Gazza at Pools, Cooper ripping Jordan a new one at Whitby, etc), some for being a decent afternoon/ evening out (Den Bosch, Motherwell and Telstar) - many, many were awful (but so are many league games).
