Not enough RB's at all IMO.

i remember him playing at CB a bit for the reserves last season when he got back from injury and he played there on monday, maybe he'd be more cover at CB than RB. but either way it doesn't really matter as he'd be spending more time in the treatment room than on the pitch

If he is impressing and is offered a pay as you play deal or reduced terms when injured etc I see no harm.

We don't seem overally short at right back or centre back like, id prefer to see wages spent elsewhere to be honest but in Ronnie we trust.

On a pay as you play deal he could be an extremely cheap option...

No surprises at all there.

I have massive faith based on last season in Ronnie's ability to pick and then get the best out of other teams' cast-offs but equally he was never going to ignore the technical ability of Parnaby and Bates.

If he can get their heads right and (big if) they can stay fit for a reasonable chunk of the season, they are both real assets to the squad.

That said, given his injury record it would be very surprising if a new deal for Parnaby wasn't weighted in favour of pay as you play.

As joes pointed out. We only have 4 right backs at the moment. That's no where near enough.

We only have 3 unless you include Parnaby! Do you really want to start the season knowing we will be short if 3 right backs get injured?

I don't care if we sign him on a pay as you play deal. As it wont cost us anything.

Not a bad England side as long as the loanee is a right back tall enough to cut out those long diagonal balls.

Great side, but I'm not sure about Lee Dixon at right back.

my opinion is based on the fact hes struggled with injury his entire career, spent 9 months of his 12 months at the club injured and has played less than 200 games in 15 years. who knows though maybe he'll play in all 46 games this season. but history would suggest we'd be lucky to get 10 games out of him

Ronnie Moore hasn't seen him play so makes sense to let him train and play so he can assess him. It's fair of Ron.
