Great signing, I look forward to seeing him play when Carson is away with Ireland and think he can potentially keep him out of the team. Probably one of the issues with flinders last year was no competition but I don't see that being an issue this year.

Seems a good signing , from all reports the biggest shock was Gateshead releasing him as he was the standout conference keeper , certainly will keep Carson on his toes

Two quality keepers for the first time since Provett and Dimi.

Can't wait to see the new goalie jersey.

*cough*

That is a little bit harsh on ALB and Janice Cockfingers.

We had true competition for the jersey in them two seasons. Albeit a competition to see who was Western Europes worst keeper but it was competition all the same. No resting on laurels and guaranteed starts when old Confingers let a 30 yard daisy cutter squirm under his legs you always had that thought at the back of your mind that ALB would have at least made the shot look like a good one as he theatrically dived over it. Same result, a goal, but contrasting styles.

A hologram and man without normal human fingers. That's what we were dealing with.

Don't know how good/bad he is but seems he was well thought of at Gateshead.

Decent no. 2 on the face of it :)

So 9 in, still wanting a winger and Ronnie is expecting to use the loan market ... we'll be needing hand outs with pictures and names on. With such a quantity of players in the squad numbers will be interesting, they don't seem to mean much these days but it might give an insight into Ronnie's plans

A quality signing- seen Bartlett a few times and seems a decent keeper- will hopefully get games and push Carson for the jersey.

Getting quite excited now couple of wingers in and then Ronnie will use the loan market to fill any gaps Bartlett always looked like he should be with a league club, surprising Gateshead replaced him with Sam Russell.

Great signing. Deserves to be playing league football. Will certainly keep Carson on his toes and take his chance when he gets it. First time we've had two keeps of a good calibre for awhile. Probably Dimi and Provett and I'd struggle to name another duo.

Already signed one winger - Kudus Oyenuga.

So which one are we going to Ter Stegen and which one Bravo?
There's no denying that strategy worked out beautifully and resulted in two very contented goalies. Though it's hard to see us playing as many cup games as Barcelona, there must be other strategies for sharing.

We've not got champions league but who doesn't want to take part in the Johnstone paint your own trophy competition?

The good thing for Bartlett is he knows he'll get an opportunity when Carson is away with Northern Ireland so he probably backs himself to do ebough to keep the shirt, good stuff and proper competition for places.
