You think Nelson will beat Ben Clark then?
Sometimes think Ben has been allocated the role of 2nd best Poolie defender, without real justification

The problem with the PFA Awards was always that players tended to vote early and so great performance later in the season went unrewarded. If that is still the case then I would expect disappointment. I'll go for just two.

Very true, our poor start will probably count against a number of players given when they will have been voted for. Nelson probably will get in, and I suspect Barker based on his performances for Mansfield as well - beyond that who knows?

i reckon these desreve to be in:

dimi-for all his clean sheets (albeit behind an excellent defence)

nelson-immense head and shoulders above 95-100%of any other centre backs in this division

clark-excellent CB mops any crap up nelson misses

liddle- i aint seen him have a bad game

monkhouse- one of the finds of the season IMO

barker- sir richard top notch puts it about and worthy of any team in this division, being with us will of obviously improved his fitness too

all these players deserve to be there in my blue n white eyes  [/b]

These teams always seem to be dominated by established players, players who already have a reputation. Unless it's a striker scoring shedloads it's unusual for a rookie to get in no matter how good he is. For that reason I would guess that Liddle has next to no chance.

But it's all a bit 'pinch of salt' isn't it. confised

realistically they should go on a players average scores/performance over the season

I'm sure the votes are cast as early as January. I don't think Liddle, Barker and Monkhouse will get in if thats the case, Dimi and Nelse will be the only two I reckon
