IOR bought Pools

I am not sure of the exact date but over September Pools averaged a position of 13th in Football League 3.

We had gone out of the Pokipola Cup in the first round and were going to go out of the FA Cup in the first round. We did make it to the second round of the AWS which I guess was the Auto Windscreens Something.

What would be the positives and negatives for our club since that day...

+ve

Cardiff season
The win at the white elephant
The training facilities
The pitch - mostly
The ground upgrades - mostly
The lounges
The corner flag
The professionalism of the club - mostly
The pre seasons in Amsterdam, sorry I mean Holland
Hangus was born
The Bunker
In the mad crowd
'Unbeatable'
Jan Ove
Investment in the squad - some of that period
The Trust
Fancy dress *
Going up the leagues

-ve

Communication
The ticket office - although it was never much better before
Last season apart from not going down
Relegations
The employment of various managers and their treatment
The badge
The Shearer picture
The various food and drink facilities
ALB and Butz
Steve Statue 2nd time around, coz he was here at the take over time
Fancy dress *
Coming down the leagues

* delete as applicable

This was meant to be a comparison of IOR's tenure please feel free to add...
Have we gone forward or backwards as a club relative to our competitors? (not counting the Loids coz that's too easy)

Great headline that.

I'm glad to see the back of them, but most of that 18 years was the best time to be a Poolie in the history of the club.

We're back where we started when they took over, and a lot of improvements have been made in that time. It's a shame they didn't sell up a couple of years ago, but that's in the past.

I never thought I would see Pools ten minutes from the Championship we have them to thank for that and some of the players that have come through Pools would never have been thought of in the mid 90's when we where lets be honest dog shit. Watson, Pedersen, Harper, Dimi, Porter, Boyd, Beardsley and Tinkler.

We have a lot to thank Larsen for but IOR after him ended up like an old dog who should have been put out of its misery.

I assume that meant go up the leagues as opposed to cease to exist. Hindsight a wonderful thing.

Is a snappy title mind

It splits into two for me, pre Cardiff and post the last promotion. Since then it has been utterly dire with no investment including the fabled and completely bollox million pound a year investment.

What was the date Danny Wilson walked/was sacked?
That's the exact moment the rot set in for real.
