And in answer, nothing makes me cringe more than seeing never say die, NSD or the great escape.

I like 'never say die' it has historical relevance to the club and is hardly a bad quality for a club like ours to adopt. Agree that the 'Great Escape' needs to be put to bed and moved on from though.

I'm getting a tattoo of that season in the seventies when we finished second bottom of the Football League and scored 30 odd goals.

He's got a tattoo for the rest of his life to commemorate the clubs worst season for 31 years in terms of points and League position

If you got Pools tattooed across your arse using your ringpiece as one of the 'o's and then put a photo of it on that facebook page plenty of people would think it was mint.

I don't think this is a young lad either, I reckon the bloke is in his 50's and might have had a connection to the club!

The town's club would be all right if I didn't quite feel so awkward about those whose town it isn't.
How do our yakker contingent feel?

The trouble with this sort of simplistic message is it's stating the bleedin obvious. Of course it's the towns club, the clue's in the name. Underlining the fact seems pointless, we know who we are, we don't need some twee slogan to remind us.
While we're on the topic, is it only me who gets pissed off seeing homespun bits of philosophy signposted all over grounds that mean absolutely sod all. If I'm ever desperate enough for a bit of philosophy, I'll consult the works of a bona fide philospher and not the home spun bullshit of a clubs philosophers. It's footy, not a religion.

But that would rule out our new "Mes que un club" slogan.

(Actually it wouldn't. That slogan isn't philosophy; it was a round-about way of saying "Fuck off Franco, you Catalan-hating twat").

Awful badge in my opinion. Quickly cobbled together from two old Microsoft word clip art images. Bring back any of the old badges.

Agree. They can also bin those crap banners on the Mill House while they're at it.

The Town's Club is soooo parochial - I would bloody well hope that the new owners have plans to extend the club's fan base beyond the boundaries of the borough.

Today Peterlee, tomorrow the world!

Might I suggest instead of getting a tattoo of Jimmy Nail dressed as a fisherman skipping with a scarf, it would be more accurate to replace it with a tattoo of a lucky horse shoe with the phrase ...'Thank God Tranmere and Cheltenham were utter shite' written underneath.

I think we should hold a get together. We should invite all the people who are still celebrating the 'great escape', get them in a room together, and gas them.

i did see someone say that if we got in the play offs this season, he'd get a tattoo of Gary Coxall. We should invite him as well as a measure of prevention, in case it does happen...

What is that white disc on the left hand stripe of the above logo supposed to represent?

For the record, I totally hate intialisms so "HUFC" is taboo. "Pools" is way better.
