Read on another thread, that someone thought the Stewards were OK on Saturday, they obviously were'nt sitting where we were.
There was one dark haired bitch, who had her eye on some young lads directly behind the goal and for the whole of the first half she was sending messages back and forth, to keep an eye on them. I'm sure at one stage she said they were going to the toilets too often ?
She was aided and abetted by the the grey haired git who thought he was the mutts nuts.
Anyway at half time they escorted one of these lads out of the ground, he seemed to go quite peacefully and there was no apparent fuss from his mates, which I found hard to understand, but she definitely got her way.

Also at the end of the game this other old biddy, was complaining.
"Can't you go and celebrate somewhere else, we've got homes to go to "

What is it, that when these people get issued with fluorescent jackets and peaked caps, that they turn into totals 2@'s

I agree, one of them was really getting on my tits. I kept seeing him walk up to two kids, threatening them and making them take their flag down.

plus, if they don't want to see fans celebrating something like promotion, why did they become stewards at all? What were they expecting it be like? Multiscreen cinema? rage

The Pools fans were also videoed for the full 90 minutes. Why do you get treated like a second class citizen as soon as you step foot in a football ground?!

Because you forfeited your human rights as soon as you became a footy fan

She might have looked a bit of allright, but she was a pure bitch, believe me.

Also, how many old bill were there at each side, we must have a really bad reputation. Having said that I can't remember any problems or trouble at any of the games I've been too, well apart from the tug of war with the pitch invader, at Stockport.

On saturday all everybody wanted to do was party !

and thats how it is every game yet the police love the money. It's fucking pathetic, Rochdale up next too and they love to throw people out for standing up. They'll cause carnage if they're given half a chance them twats

Can't agree more with your assement of Rochdale stewards. The match after ours I heard that they'd thrown out.

There are plenty of away fans who can give examples that should be in the stewarding book of "how not to do things". The Rochdale stewards last season decided on a less confrontational approach to removing people who were standing in the seats: they waited for them to visit the toilet or kiosk, and then threw them out! The fact that some of the throwees (who were at the back and not obstructing anyone's view) may have their kids still up in the stand didn't seem to move them at all....

AND!!!!

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, they've now announced that the Rochdale game will be all ticket.

Now we are well supported away from home, no question. But we wouldn't fill Rochdales ground or that big side stand that they use for away fans. So what's the griff??

The griff is this..........

The Police will say, we expect 2500 Pools fans, one filth to every fifty fans, that's 50 coppers on Saturday overtime, six hours at time and a half, that's 450 man hours at 25 quid an hour. That'll be 11250 pounds please Mr Rochdale. By the end of the month.

Fuck that replies Mr Rochdale, we haven't even had the bill for policing the rest of the ground yet. How about if we only give them 1000 tickets??

Oink replies, well the policing bill will be only 4500 pounds.

What did you think the 'consultation' was about?? The comfort and well being of the fans??

Don't be daft. confised confised

But if they only allow 1000 Poolies instead of 2500, then they miss out on another 22500 income.

Less costs, plus add ons, pies, programmes, overpriced canned lager etc.

BUT if they're already in debt, as they almost certainly are with the pathetic attendances they get, they could be sailing very close to insolvency. Now you'd think that an injection of say, 10 grand net of costs would be very welcome, but the cost of going for it might push them a bit close.

There's imponderables, lets say they gear up for 2500 Poolies but only 1700 turn up. That's crowd costs for 800 people flushed away, coppering, catering, printing and stewarding. It's probably an exercise in accurate costing, whereby they'll know exactly what to invest to maximise gains on the day.
