Shame as he had a good final third but think Ronnie wants a keeper who will be a giant and command the box which Flinders never did.

Flinders is a good keeper -but at coming for crosses he's always been poor, I think he is a perfectly adequate league 2 keeper tbh...

'Total liability' is a laughable comment.

He's been a good keeper for Pools. Yes his form has had dips especially in the last couple of seasons but I feel he has a couple of mitigating circumstances. Last year he was having to look after his own game and coach Maxted. Some of his best form was when he worked with Andy Collett and at his best he looked one of the better keepers in League One. Plus we've been poor team devoid of confidence and leadership.

It's probably time he moved on for his own career but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he went on to play well for a club for club like Rotherham with the benefit of better coaching.

At the end of the day if we sign a keeper as good we'll have got ourselves a more than decent keeper.

It's very rare to get a good consistent goalkeeper at this level or even league 1. We were lucky to get Dimi but how many other keepers would you jump at the chance of having back from recent history?
I won't miss Flinders but I wouldn't call him a liability. He was about standard for the level we're at. He had a good first season and maybe a move is just what he needs.

Bog standard League 2 keeper at best. You can't win anything with a dodgy keeper. Did we have vet finish outside the bottom 6 or 7 since he been here?

Wish him well as seems a nice guy. Hopefully he get a few games in Championship like ALB did before they suss him out.

he was ok but lack of pressure from other keepers did not push him for his place . coming for crosses was hit or miss and his kicking was at times shocking.

So have Rotherham finally got rid of that keeper who looked about 60 year old?

As nice a guy as flinders is get shot while we have chance unable to stop shots going accross him and has been a big part of a defence incapable of stringing two or three good games together for years. A really good keeper sometimes wins you matches you don't deserve cant think of that happening very often with flinders in goal

I believe Monty is referring to Andy Warrington and i believe their usual keeper is now Adam Collin.

Without the numerous last minute saves he made we'd have been relegated.

He's better than league 2. Can't kick out of his hands but if he has a player that would ask for it in his own half he won't have to. Good keeper. Had a shocking defence in front of him for the majority of his time here.

End of discussion.

Not as good as Dimi, but streets ahead of ALB and Budtz. People have short memories - he was an integral part of the team that achieved our third highest league position, and won the player of the year award two years running.

Like any keeper, made errors which were severely punished, but overall earned us many more points than we lost. Best of luck to him unless he plays for a promotion rivap.

Been a good keeper for us on the whole, just some poor spells in a poor team for last few years. However it's time for a change for both parties, and Rotherham be a good move for him - isn't he from Yorkshire?

Wish him all the best

Been pools longest serving keeper for a canny spell. What's he had about seven years?

He's been a good servant playing behind some rotten defences. I wish him well.
