In October I got an email off my mate who lives in Spockport. 'I'm getting married on 14th April'.

I went to it yesterday, and the reception was out in the sticks in the middle of Cheshire with no telly. I rang Lol up to get the result. Naturally I was ecstatic, but other than our lass nobody shared my joy or understood why I was so excited. '4th promotion EVER'.

About 100 Stopfordians, every single one of then a City or United 'fan'.

Ah well. hopefully next time I'm in the north west I'll be celebrating the title win at Spotland.

I must admit, I don't have a circle of friends anywhere who doesn't fully comprehend what Pools means to me - mainly because they are my only circle of friends!!! Even at work, there are loads of Poolies, so any works bash usually gets round to talking about Pools!! I don't think there has been a day in my life I don't mention Pools or read about them. I'll be dead before that changes!!!!
I could not imagine being in that room John!!!!
They aren't worth being in the room with, compared to being at Pools!!!! I would "sack" anybody as a mate before I missed a game like yesterday!!!!
I don't care what people think about me though!!!!!

Four grown kids? Only three of them are mine, where did the other one come from?

p.s. We got married 24 years ago this June, on the anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo.

And I've just remembered, the lad who got married was offered a YTS by Spockport County when he was 16, but turned it down to become a lawyer instead.

Yet he still thinks anything outside the Premiership is not worth bothering with. Unless of course man City play outside it.
