I did wander for a while whether he might do it again on Saturday at Carlisle to keep us in the League for a Jimmy Glass moment in the same goal where Jimmy Glass did it.

He had a stinker for both the goals and wanted to put that right from what I remember.

That was one of my favourite Pools goals ever, even though it was a meaningless result. After the roar died down there was loads of laughter right round the ground.

He should have tried to score 50+ on that basis

Fair play to Eddie Howe like. They can't have a lot of money to spend, the ground only holds 11,000. Just goes to show what can be done...

I think it was the last and first home games as we played MK donkeys the week before Nish's iffy goal....

It's still 7 of the team that came up from League One to be fair. He's still done a brilliant job. Plus the style of football is superb money doesn't buy that.

Also they haven't spent a fortune compared to the ex Premiership clubs with parachute payments they've outperformed. But you can't say at the same time it's been done on a shoestring when they are paying Kenwyne Jones £36,000 a week to sit on the bench. They've added quality to the spine of the team that have came through the Leagues with them.

But you doubt they'd have made that extra leap into the top two with out the Russians money.

They sold a lad for a few million as well I think. Mind you as we know, under FFP money from player sales can't be reinvested.

To get out of league 2 they spent way more than anyone else, then did the same in league 1. There was supposed to be an embargo off memory aswell but the likes of tubbs and grabben were bought and they built a top aide. Grabben then went for 3 mil but that was immediately spent on Wilson. I seem to recall them paying over 2mil for some foreigner aswell. This certainly wasn't a miracle. They have been well backed to get to the championship. Fair play for getting to the prem like.

I think they payed more than foreigner Mr Birthmark (Rante or something he's called) £3 or £4 million and he's not really played much.

Just checked £2.5 million.

their accounts for 11-12 they lost over £5m and 12-13 £15m 13-14 not published yet. I think I read somewhere howe earns more than most premier league managers already.

To get to the prem really is an achievement but for a small club they bought there way to the championship. The papers and media have had this down as a miracle. I just don't see it. The money they spent they should have been a top half championship side no problem. No idea who owns them but they must be very rich and I fully expect them to be another Wigan and stay in the prem for a while.

Seeing sides like Bournemouth and Wigan winning fa cups just shows what backing and ambition can do. We are basically the complete opposite financially to Bournemouth.

1 thing for certain most folk will have a soft spot for them next season in the prem. howes style of play is very enjoyable to watch. Very quick entertaining football. I hope they keep hold of Wilson, arter and Ritchie. Would like to see just how far he can take them before the vultures come and take there best players away. I doubt they need to sell but wages could prove an issue when the big boys turn up. Wilson has alot of ability upfront. Some of his goals this season have came from nothing. Looks a really good striker but this was at a different level so only time will tell.

If ya can get Evs or better on them staying up lump as they are going nowhere.
