Now that we know the division that we're in for next season, who would you keep out of the current squad?

You can choose as many as you want out of the 25.

P.S. I'm aware that some may be under contract already, but this is assuming that we had the option to bin whoever we wanted.

P.P.S. This is for playing contracts, i didn't vote for Sam, but I'd like him to stay on the coaching staff..

9 out of 25 for me.

I think we need a bigger invester than Dean construction...

No idea about Nelson-Addy, never seen him play!

Hope he gets at least 45 against Carlisle.

You can guantee Nelson-Addy will be part of any squad next season, he's just signed an 18 month contract.

Aye, fair do's.

I meant from a 'would I keep him' perspective not who will actually be kept.

I think Bates will probably be kept but I'd sooner his wages went on one or two others...

Ronnie needs to wield axe ruthlessly but on the same token isn't that why John Hughes was shown the door

No, Hughes was sacked because he wanted to bring in replacements.

 More accurately, he knew he wouldnt be allowed to bring anyone in, so he publicly said that he'd given a list to Russ, and any failure to bring in his targets would be Russ' fault.

I said Parnaby just because I believe that there has to be a good player in there somewhere, just like Bates didn't have a good start for us and ended up being a handy player in January time, I feel -because of injury- it's hard to judge Parnaby fully...

I do completely understand why people would disagree entirely.

Good player or not he must be on a decent wage and with his injury record hes not worth the gamble on a tight budget

Hadn't really thought about wages... I can't fully justify him staying on that basis, I just think that he has ability and once he finds it again he will be a really good league 2 player. (still not very convincing :P )

Parnaby is no use to us. Not because he's a bad player but because he's too injury prone. I think he's made 5 or 6 appearences for us this season. Prior to that he's(and I checked this when he signed) had made played 215 games including sub starts in 14 years an average of 15 and a bit games a season. A player who can give us a third of a season in our division is no use whatsoever. But if he has a year left on his contract then we're simply stuck with him.

The worrying thing about this poll is at least 8 people HAVEN'T voted to keep Scott Harrison?!!? I'll blame hangovers for that.

In terms of who i'd release, Miller, Bates, Parnaby, Compton, Harewood, Holden and maybe Franks.

Most important is to get rid of the higher earning players who add nothing. You can't easily get rid of the majority of the squad because you have to be sure you can get replacements in for them. The order in which these things work is tricky!

I'm surprised people have chosen to keep Franks considering the amount of grief people give him.

I kept Franks because a few times this season he's been our best player

Ok, so after over 200 votes, only the 12 below got more than 40%. Looks like we've got some serious recruitment to be done...

Scott Flinders

Dan Jones
Michael Duckworth
Scott Harrison

Brad Walker
Michael Woods
Ebby Nelson-Addy
Nicky Featherstone
Lewis Hawkins

Scott Fenwick
Jonathan Franks
Connor Smith

I voted for Collins because I thought why not; he will still be assistant next season so you might as well register to play him again. I think Featherstone is an interesting one; if Woods had never got injured he wouldn't have got a chance really so probably would have been one getting let go but after his performances you can't justify letting him go so that's credit to him really.

The vote shows most of are willing to let Austin go but I'm not sure he will, no matter who has been in charge in recent years he always gets a game and is versatile. He's over the hill and not as good as he was by any means and a change of club would probably do him good but I wouldn't be surprised to see him kept on even if as just a versatile back up.

Franks is another interesting case and I'm surprised to see most willing to keep him on. He's not really a 9/10 player but ever week he is a consistent 6 or 7 who always runs his socks off but its just his end product. If he could add that to his game then defiantly keep in but this season half his 6 goals were in the cup against non-league opposition and Compton has officially had more assists. Personally I'd let him go but if he stayed I suppose it wouldn't be the end of the world.

In Ronnie I trust!

Think he was sacked because he said we needed loads of new players in public, IOR like to keep every thing in house

He was sacked because he had balls and said it how it was, deserves every success he gets in Scotland

I'd release

Miller - Can't see a place for him in the team
Parnaby - Injury prone
Harewood - Not good enough
Austin - Declining over the years
Compton - Going anyway
