Hmmmm - seeing as Ken has stirred the election pot, something suddenly became apparent to me.

IOR took pools over in 1997 - and on the crest of a wave, the most successful period of our history began - under a labour government

In 2010 the Tories took control over the country, which, coincidentally, has led to one of the most challenging periods of our history

It seems that under Tory rule, Pools are shite - but under labour rule, Pools are OK

So despite Ken wanting us to vote Tory (Tory adverts are all over the official site), if we want a return to the glory days - a vote for Ed is in order.

If anyone can see anything wrong with the above assessment, let me know - its election week next week.

Was thinking that too - just needed to justify it in my mind.

As I live in Liverpool, I just vote Labour like everyone else. No-one bothers with fliers and canvassing. Labour just get in and it keeps things simple.
Wouldn't know what to do in Hartlepool. Labour councillors a disgrace, MP ineffective, would never vote Tory, libs are just meh, greens nutty as fruitcakes (altho they are actually principled), ukip a bunch of narrow minded tossers. Maybe hpool should vote Tory for a change though, as they tend to look after their own.

He has blamed everyone but him and his trusted sidekick for the mess we have been in.

For that reason I am voting to keep that little weasle in power.

i wonder what those, who have found some weird reason to love IOR, are going to do since most of them will be staunch labour men.

Is a tickled belly even more important than their political beliefs?

If not Ken will be vexed with them.

Hodcroft should keep his mouth shut about the political scene in Hartlepool. He, like me, is not a resident.

It's a strange stance, and not one KH should be getting his knickers in a twist over.

When he says that people died to get us the vote he must mean the chartists and suffragists. I'm not sure that what they had in mind was voting according to which candidate hadn't pissed off the chairman of your football club.

The 4-yearly out- of- towner Tory Aunt Sally has pictures on his leaflets with Ronnie Moore and Russ Green on them.
