Aye, thank you for getting us out of the shite and hopefully some of them won't have the opportunity to do it again.

Moore rightly getting plaudits but lets not forget there are a fair few players who have helped turn things around.

Several loanees have been immense- Tshibola has understandably dropped off his high standards of late but still set up the winning goal for Hughill who has come to the club and played like it actually fucking mattered. Likewise Mirfin, Bird, and Bingham.

Harrison was immense today and has shown himself to probably be a cut above this level. Woods was unfortunate to get injured while in great form, but Nicky Featherstone has come in a done a grand job given he came from non league.

The same can be said for Scott Fenwick who once again got a vital goal then ran his blood to water.

Dan Jones has come into the team and had some really promising games.

Even some of the underwhelming players have put in a shift from time to time. Flinders made an excellent save today, Austin put in a couple of good blocks, Franks put in a fantastic shift, even Marlon came on and put himself about a bit.

Okay a good few of them have had shocking seasons, but some of them have got us out of a mess that was not of their making.

Agree 100%. Wouldn't be anywhere if these guys didn't put a shift in to turn us around. Thank you players of hartlepool united, both you and Sir Ronnie have well and truly made my week!

Morgan also may have been useless but that goal was also vital.

Fenwicks attitude is spot on, his fitness needs a bit of work, which he can do over the summer. As he and Connor Smith will be the only strikers kept on we're going to need him fit.

Agree, I have been saying for ages that regardless what happens this season, fenwick, woods and Harrison are key for us next season and the backbone of the team.

A fit fenwick will score 20 next year, the lad just doesn't know when to give in. Woods is a class act and Harrison is quality, doesn't miss a header.

Have to agree about Fenwick he is the only natural goal scorer we have on the books. The lad is class.

Yep Fenwick ran and chased everything today and was class. Bates however was shocking

This is an absolutely disgraceful statement. He anticipated every ball into the centre forward imo

Dan Jones should never have let the ball bounce that led to Bates knocking it out for the first corner in my opinion.

Thought Bates was ok, nothing better and nothing worse.

worth mentioning the "captain role" of Bates today. Young Jones made a bad mistake in the 1st half, Bates straight over to have some encouraging words. Hughill scored the 2nd goal, Bates was straight over to Austin again to offer encouragement after Austin made a bad mistake a minute or so earlier. Granted Bates has been a massive let down this season, I thought he stood up today and performed very well. Defence was 100% better than what I saw last weekend at Luton

Totally agree Bates did do a Captains role and put in a great shift considering he had not played a lot of games in recent times. I also thought Harrison had his best game yet and was the best player on the pitch ahead of Fenwick and I believe playing along side Bates allowed him to relax a little and be himself! It would not be a bad idea to pair them up next season in my opinion

Fenwick was superb today, led the line brilliantly. I think he'll score shitloads next season. I can't think of who he reminds me of, but he has a lot of Paul Baker about him.

Chris, got to agree with Mark about Bates. Thought he was weak, had to put the ball out for the corner as he wasn't strong enough to hold their guy off, then lost him for both corners. Harrison was immense though, and defensively thought Austin was pretty good too, especially one tackle in the second half in the box. I was worried all game that Boyeson was going to give a dodgy penalty, and Bates was my candidate for that. Mind, despite all their possession second half, I don't think Flinders had a shot to save, in fact we looked more like scoring

Err Bates needlessly gives away a corner.

Then loses his man at said corner who gets free header forcing Flinders to make top class save.

From subsequent corner Bates sort of tracks his man but only gets about four inches off the ground giving the bloke a second free header in 30 seconds. This one ends up in the back of the net.

Hope this helps.

Unsure whether the corner was needless but I agree with everything else. The likes of bates and parnaby must be on decent wages and if we can afford these guys I would much rather use that money to get mirfin.

Bates could have booted it for a throw in had he wanted to. He opted to smack it into the town end for some reason.

I know a few are saying Jones is promising . maybe in time in my opinion but he makes a lot of mistakes like. I would hope moore can get someone else in for next season and have Jones as a back up rather than a regular.

Was jones playing left back yesterday or part of a back 3 sctatchinghead

He was like a fish out of water playing LB against Blythe and yet, mr reliable when part of a back 3 whenever I saw him. Definitely one to keep IMO.

Right behind the goal when bates gave away the corner and he was waiting for and asking flinders to come for it however flinders declined so subsequently bates knocked it out remember if if doubt kick it out.
