I am a Wimbledon fan and wish you all the best for the last 2 games and hope you stay up as had u relegated in January so hope u can complete the great escape.

One coincidence all bottom 3 teams have is that their local rivals have been liquidated:-
Hartlepool - Darlington
Cheltenham - Hereford
Tranmere - Chester

Wonder if this had a knock on effect to long term finances as even York saw Scarborough go and Macclesfield fell out of the league following Stockport's own relegation

There's several examples of depressed area's, particularly up North, where lack of money and investment has contributed to other teams' domino affect, Darwin/Nelson, Barrow/Workington/Southport, South Shields/Gateshead for example. I've heard that Kensington F.C will be looking to take us over if we retain League status.

Interesting theory mate - but we haven't had a derby with Darlington since 2006/2007 - and Tranmere haven't played Chester for years.

The biggest problem is owners that lack ideas or investment whilst slowly stripping away the assets of the cubs affected, aided by the FA who don't seem to care who owns the clubs.

If the govt. get involved FIFA will apply sanctions to the international and teams competing in Europe.

Corruption right in front of our eyes, and we are unable and/or reluctant to stop it. We'll keep paying the money and being sheep, whilst the powers that be laugh all the way to the bank.

Interesting answer as my clubs fans knows all about the spineless FA at least now we r a fans run club we have control of our destiny from reading on the forums of Cheltenham & Tranmere both sets of fans blame their owners/chairman too yet wasn't aware any of your clubs were being badly run or is it fans just want to see success and money spent each transfer window just b careful what u wish for by looking at Rangers or Portsmouth and I see trouble ahead for Oxford

I don't think any Hartlepool fan wants the club to spend beyond their means - but to look at what is happening around us is causing the frustration - we have relied on loan players for the majority of the season - despite player sales totalling the £1 million pound mark - none of this money has been put back into the team - The owner and CEO fail to communicate effectively with the fans - if they did, they might find a sympathetic ear.

One big bone of contention is the FFP rules. Our chairman continually claims that FFP (along with VAT on players sales) are tying their hands when it comes to improving the squad. Accrington Stanley have the lowest crowds in the football league - yet can out do us in terms of spending and players- So either (i) Accrington are cheating the FFP system, to which the FA are turning a blind eye or (ii) our chairman is a lying twat.

I know where my opinion lies.

Chester and Tranmere haven't been in the same League as each other for about 25 years and Cheltenham and Hereford have barely ever played each other, they've been in the same division for about four seasons in there entire histories.

Mad John the 1992 scenario is same as the 3 down/3 up between the Conference & League 2 as Wimbledon always vote in favour but its still a minority yet once clubs get relegated suddenly the owners want 3 up I'm sure it will happen eventually as clubs go down then come back up they then in favour wonder how Cheltenham, Tranmere & your club voted
