I grew up on this type of bog, love them, they are 5 star compared to the ones we used have on the Clarence Road side. Will report back on the standard of bog in the York End later

'we used to have'...... yeah, once. But we've moved on since then.
Theirs , to be fair, were extensively modernised in the Middle Ages. If the Time Team is looking for a medieval shithouse to get stuck into, these must tick all the boxes.

Is it true York are having a new ground built? Their away end must be the worst in all the leagues!

Pompey's were a blast from the past. Concrete trough. They'd tried to make them a bit more modern by painting the things, look even worse :)

I remember one freezing Tuesday night at Saltergate, went for a piss at half time, and my cock had virtually retreated right into my body. Could just about get my finger and thumb round my bell end to direct the flow. If there had been a roof on the bogs, I would have had to wrap it round my wrist like normal.

As long as it doesn't spray back onto your shoes/jeans then it doesn't matter.

Bootham Crescent, like the Vic, Griffin Park, St James Park (Exeter), Gigg Lane and a few in non-league should be national treasures which are listed and preserved. Loads of great grounds have either been demolished or unnecessarily modernised, and in a few years there will be a lot of people asking why nothing was done to stop it.

The main thing with the toilets is they were so small. I enjoyed listening to a fan asking a steward where he could have a crap and the answer was not in thr away end.

The only criticism of the terraces I have is there being no roof so noise doesn't travel as far.

I had to have one at Hearts V Dundee United a few years ago. It was like the bog on Trainspotting.

I feel duty bound to report the bogs in the home end were better than those in the away end. Similar Brick out house style but covered with aluminium urinals to pee in rather than in the gutter. When York move the toilets should be donated to Beamish Museum.

Beamish wouldn't have them, they're from a previous era.

What's that big cortugated tank in the corner next to the homestand..? It's always been there..does it store the seasons total piss output pumped from the gutters of the away end bogs in one rancid cortugated reservoir for future use..? Rumour has it, allowing for evaporation, the vintage goes back to 1982.
