Not a surprise but Ronnie has been shortlisted for Manager of the month but more unexpected is probably Harrison being nominated for Player of the Month.

3 clean sheets on the bounce means it's not a massive surprise.

I think Harrison and mirfin have been absolutely key to our recent form.

One shit clearance aside I thought Harrison was awesome yesterday, he left absolutely everything he had on the pitch. He actually looks like he has the potential to be a good centre forward.

I agree he didn't look out of place playing there at all. He could take Ritchies crown of most versatile player!

I'm saying it's a surprise because defenders don't tend to get the recognition they deserve with such awards in favor of goal scorers.

Awesome signing would love to keep Mirfin too....shame about the goal. Also Dan Jones improves game on game fair play.

Good to see Aussie keeping up the good form he's in now - distribution has never been his strong point but he's starting to play like a wing back.

I hope someone teaches Jones how to pass a ball before next season, every time he thumps it too far!

Jones and Harrison's excellent displays recently are due in no small part to having Mirfin alongside them I'd say. His experience and composure have been vital and came to us just in time.

Jones has improved massively. His passing needs work as was said above but also his heading isn't strong enough for a centre half. Its a shame as he jumps so high but its like he has a 50pence head when it cones to accuracy. He has a habit of getting his head on corners and probably should have had a few goals by now. Definitely improving under Ronnie like

Mirfin was a liability for much of yesterday. I couldn't believe he got MOTM

He made a couple of mistakes in a 15-20 period one which should have cost us a goal but didn't he was hardly a liability. He was one of the two in the back five who didn't fuck up for the actual goal. He looked knackered late on, if he was African I'd take him being 29 like a pinch of salt. The same bloke registered his birth as did Kanu's. He's at least mid forties, possibly pushing 50. FACT.

We need to keep him though and Scunny lost again tonight.

Sure I read he can only train once a week? He will be knackered at end of games if so.

Thursday training normally clashes with pension day for a start and he goes to the Bingo most Wednesday's instead of training.

Dan Jones is potentially better than both of them. I heard scouts are already taking an interest in him which would not surprise me one jot, not least because he is quick over the ground. I'd be amazed if he isn't snapped up by a club from a higher division in the next 12 months.

As long as we insist on either Baldwin or Burgess in the swap deal when Posh come to their new signings cupboard

Agreed some times the pass is over hit
But I think sometimes his team mates need to gamble on it more and make the run
If you look at the Newport highlights when the passes come off they Tur n defence into attack

Think Ronnie must have told them safety first though as they all give it a hoof
Tbh its paid off

Moore and Harrison both overlooked for Ainsworth (Wycombe) and Bobby Grant (Shrewsbury)

I am not disappointed as it's usually the kiss of death like the chairman giving the manager a vote of confidence then sacking him the following week Hughes won it and it was all downhill after that. Lets leave it till the end of the season and he can be Manager of the Season !
