a little over 48 hours till our probable promotion party and arguably our biggest game this season (if we win this, we SHOULD win the Championship) yet no-one seems arsed about it at all

I'm not going to lie, I'm not overly excited myself but if you'd have offered me this six months ago I'd have bit your arm off

It's a funny old game!

Most of us took promotion for granted a while ago & we're all on tenterhooks over the title

yeah I know why we all feel like this but it's our fourth ever promotion (probably the second or third that most of us have experienced) yet no-one's bothered. It wouldn't even surprise me if there's sub 1000 Pools fans there

You took the word out of my mouth Groovy.

It's only a matter of time for the P next to our name. It's the big C we are after now that's why it may seem a little bit flat around here.

Wish i could make it on Saturday but I'm have to give one a miss and this is it really. The rest of this month and a few weeks into May will be one hell of a party for all HUFC fans.

Aye..............its really flat isnt it.

Look back though at most of the posts early in the season, and most of us expected/demanded promotion. And despite the remarkable run, I suppose we are only now were we all expected to be.

And to be honest..............I already think we are up. I mean, how shiit would we have to be, to throw 12 points and 15 goals away now?

And remember MK Dons are not chasing us. They are chasing Swindon and Walsall to a lesser extent. So they will be targeting wins, and not stupidly chasing games if they go ahead, just to pull our GD back.

Its in the bag, and Wycombe is a long journey.

Supposing we win on Saturday and so do Walsall we could then put ourselves 5 points clear next Friday and Walsall will have just 9 points to play for including a very tough trip to Swindon. Saturdays game is hoooge!

I agree it is huge.

But if I had to miss one of the next 4 games, and I do, its this one.

If this game is huge, then how much huger(huger????  ) is the next one, and the one after that?

But I still say, regardless of winning the title, we have done what was required.

We are up. rolf rolf rolf rolf rolf rolf

I wasn't referring to who's going/who's not going, it's more a case of the game pretty much unmentioned everywhere!

I'm surprised at the lack of interest in Saturday. After the deflation of winnning promotion in the 4-0 defeat at Scunthorpe I'm looking forward to a great day out at Wycombe. After that its will be a matter of who gets the championship on the last day. I can't see the games against Notts County and Rochdale deciding much as I don't see Walsall dropping many points before the last game.

Why so sure Walsall will draw? If we do not win at Wycombe we will probably be in second place come Saturday night. A draw would put us level on points with an inferior goal difference.

We need four wins to be sure of the title.

Last we won at County was in 1988 (playoffs 3-1)

However, we are well up for it at the moment.

Probable result: draw

I think you'll draw too

For different reasons, I missed every other promotion. I'm there Saturday!

i celebrated promotion on monday. we are already up. all im interested in is us finally winning something.

i think both us and walsall have very difficult games this weekend. indeed our run in has suddenly become more difficult looking now that notts county and bristol rovers have picked up and have something to play for.

fortunately rochdale seem to have dropped out of the play off battle and their captain has just been ruled out for the rest of the season.

even if swindon have nothing to play for come the last game of the season i still think it will be a tough game for walsall. swindon have a big squad and a lot of players out of contract in the summer. i cant see them rolling over. at the end of the day they are still the 3rd best side in the division.

Good synopsis. We are just taking every game as it comes, confidence is sky-high but history is against us at Meadow Lane, we are looking to take between 2000 and 3000 to County but that in itself won't gain us any points.

Saturday is the real test of our skill and resolve, if we fail to meet the challenge then so be it, I know the players will have given it their best and ultimately the team that does finish first will have deserved that honour and be worthy champions on merit.

Tomorrow could be a similar day to the Scunthorpe one, we lose at Wycombe, maybe by a similar margin, and Darlow get a point at MKD. We are promoted, will it feel good?

But off course it won't happen that way will it!!
