Can't think of a worse bunch than some of those little cretins on display yesterday, who were gathered toward the Mill House side. That kid in the green jacket seemed to spend the entire first half gesticulating towards the home fans, and giving it the big 'un, instead of watching the game!

Made the win even more satisfying!

Different league and on a smaller scale but who remembers those wankers in the posh seats at Doncaster a few years ago?

I remember when I was about 18 going to a Tuesday night game at Boothferry Park and after arriving early naively going in a lovely looking boozer called The Sliver Cod for a pint. It was like stepping back in time and as scary as fook. Hull is a fucking horrible away day.

Still think Mansfieldthe worst year on year maybe because they epitomize the club in so many ways. All negative.

Never noticed that kid in the green jacket 2nd half did he get thrown out ? stewards spoke to him/warned him numerous times in the 1st half.

After a quick look at the table, it Mansfield without a doubt. I have met a few decent Stags fans over the years, but as a crowd there is too high a ratio of dickheads amongst them.

Boys will be boys I guess. There was a couple of them starting themselves outside and about 20 of our young'uns waiting for them. Not making any excuses for it, but I vehemntly oppose when the police stand there and blatantly stick a camera in your face. Only serves to ignite the situation.

Plus, I recall the away game circa 2001. Hell on it was. Took my lad to the game, looking back I don't think it was my greatest moment of fatherhood.

I was only 11 then but if i remember rightly a bloke was getting held down in the middle of the pitch by two bobbies and a bloke (possibly his brother?) Ran on and karate kicked the bobby. At half time both sets of fans got on the pitch and fought like fook in the 18 yard box for about 5 minutes!

Derby County the year before and Cardiff a year later were far worse like. That was how it was then though.

The Derby County game in 84 was very naughty behind the mill house stand at half time where there lads got well done. But in them days there was trouble all over the country when the police didnt have a clue how to prevent trouble.

The trouble could have been prevented if people weren't fighting in the first place......
A bit like blaming the freman for not stopping the arsonist.

Just post miners strike. They would have taken a lot more exception to the 'scab' chants back then.

Being to young and not having knowledge of situation I am guessing the miners of Mansfield broke the strike and went back to work, is that correct?

Hull in 2000 I think it was when we got into the play-offs on the last day of the season was mental. Leaving the ground having bricks hoyed at us.
I remember a big away day at Mansfield around the same time too, we took loads, the away stand was at the side of the pitch opposite the main stand like Rochdale. Don't remember much of the game like.

Sheffield United about 81.. There was hell on then . I remember the cops dragging a lad out of the town end because they thought he'd threw something at them as they escorted their boys back that had made a foray into the mill house stand.

I went to that game and lost 5-0 I think it was. I recall one of our own fans getting thrown out for shouting "You black bastard" to one of their players. Idiot.

Got to be Mansfield, whole place is rotten. Hull has never been the most friendliest in its day and we shouldn't forget Darlo from the days gone but suppose it was never their fault that their posh neighbours used to pay them a visit once a season!

That's the one

I seem to remember all the 'boys' we had there giving it large all game and some young girl with them, probably only about 13, got chucked out and then threw up and cried on the way down the steps.

That was an embarassing site. I think that's the same game we're talking about.

Wrexham back in the day stands out for me. Stewards were really welcoming but then a large number of fans spent the whole match shouting our way wanting to fight. Swear they missed the whole game. Never liked them since.

I was thinking that too...swaggering chest beaters....probably some Cumbrian throwback to the stone age.... which in their case was about seven years ago.

We used to get our coaches bricked all the time in the late 60s/70s. It was expected behaviour. I believe we were no exception. Poolie Boot Boys an' all.
