Agree fantastic performance from him ( makes up for the burton 'mistake' ), Flinders could quite conceivably have been given it to

Nice to see someone getting Man of the Match who clearly was the best player on the pitch. Thought he was fantastic today, and also nice to see Brad Walker getting back to something like the form he showed last season. Took some balls insisting on taking the penalty.

I agree with Chip! bbolt bbolt

A masterclass in midfield play. Awesome from start to finish.

Well done to Featherstone today, he was a colossus in midfield and seemed to be up for it today , I have been critical of him but given a few games, a bit of confidence and he's got his mojo back-I'd say this for Moore he gets the best out of his players- Featherstone's directing of play and pulling the strings today suggests he's a candidate for next season and a new deal.

I'm sure on of the contributors to this thread said Featherstone was shite and wouldn't have him anywhere near the first team not long ago.

I don't think he's a holding midfielder as his strength isn't getting the ball back or tackling it's with the ball were he's very tidy on it.

He's actually more creative and skilful than just a holding midfielder.

He was the best player on the pitch yesterday, by a mile.

Featherstone was top notch. The 3 5 2 we started with should be great with Tshibola, Woods and Featherstone. A little bit of everything.

You could say that for almost all of the players at the club and at the time they were right!

When Woods and Featherstone were 16/17 year olds big things were forecast for the two of them but they seemed to go off the boil. Now they both seem to be starting to fulfil a bit of the promise envisaged for them and we've got them both. With those two and Walker regaining form plus Fenwick, Duckworth and Harrison we have the nucleus of a decent side.
If we survive I am putting a reasonable bet on us going back to div one at the end of next season.
Get rid of the deadwood, get a few more shrewd signings and watch us go. Twelve more points and the dream is on.

Featherstone had a fantastic second half, the way he closed down their defence before the penalty was outstanding. Full of passion and fighting spirit, just what we like. A true Poolie

I thought Saturday was Featherstone's best performance in the Pools shirt since he joined us. Hope he can repeat it this weekend and in coming games.

Thought Featherstone was outstanding in the 2nd half on Saturday; best midfield performance from a Pools player in years for me.

Hands up I callec Featherstone worse than shite-saw him in the ressies and wasn't impressed-Saturday he was immense-remember when he was a hot prospect at Hull when his orange cockness was manager if I'm not wrong.

If he keeps up this form he is next years captain- stamped authority and bossed the game.
