1. Lancaster City in the FA Cup would be a fantastic away day, cracking old fashioned ground (great views into the ground from the train station platform) and historic town centre
2. Never realised Morecambe had such a massive bay, them poor chinese cockle pickers didn't stand a chance sadx
3. I was tempted but didn't get my photo taken next to the Eric Morecambe statue doing his 'pose' bbolt
4. Morecambe seafront is just like Seaton but about 4/5 longer. Has had about the same amount of investment as well in recent years confised
5. Cracking pubs although I paid £12.60 for 3 pints in The Palentine  I go these away trips to get away from London prices bbolt
6. Cracking little ground but why oh why did they put us in the seats banghead
7. Fantastic atmosphere and array of songs from 300ish pools fans. Non stop singing through the whole game. You made me proud clappp
8. The 'new' order have arrived
9. Over the top policing and stewarding  I spoke with the chief Bobby after HT and asked him why the need to be so intimidating and he said the Morecambe stewards were concerned they couldn't control the pools fans
10. Big shout to Franks, he gets dogs abuse most weeks and dare I say it probably justifiably so but he must play up front every week IMO, he ran his nuts off yesterday chasing every ball and okay, we didn't look like creating much in the second half but he never gave up, nor did Bird. One criticism of RM yesterday in that both strikers were running on empty in the last 10/15 mins and should have been replaced by smith and marlon. Never saw subs warming up though and so not sure whether they were on the bench
11. Great to see Walker back, looked hungry and worked well with Tsih and feather stone in the middle. Let's hope we see the walker of last season back
12. My MOM was Harrison, I have never seen him have a bad game and was great to see him tell Ellison (the baldy plank up front for Morecambe) what he thought of him after he through himself to the floor after a challenge. we have to sign him permanently surely confised
13. My pride in pools came back yesterday but am not convinced it's a turning point. I just don't get why we sign Morgan and this Eddy-Nelsion guy on loan and yet neither are getting picked sctatchinghead don't get me wrong, I am not saying Morgan should be playing but just does not make any sense, a waste of a loan player sctatchinghead
14. I can see the makings of a decent team for next year if we did go down although we still need to offer more going forward.
15. Got chatting to some great Millwall fans on the train back, they had taken 200 to Bolton apparently

Finally, the pools fans made my day yesterday. My first time hearing the 'Tshi Bo LA' song along to the tune of Gold by Spandau Ballet clappp clappp

York up next for me

Nice write up, I believe we have already signed Harrison on a permanent deal. One of the only things to come of the January window.

I drove across via A66 & M6 etc, really easy and the stretch down the M6 is the most scenic football related drive I've ever experienced!
All credit to the pools fans with the Tshi bo la song - original and well adapted; think I understand stewarding/policing - - a minority of fans were drunk (several so drunk I'm surprised that they were allowed in the ground) some seemed intent on invading the pitch at the foot of the "stand"
I'm also thinking Sunderland did Pools a big favour by letting Harrison sign for us permanently- he's been very impressive since he came here and doesn't appear to be phased by oppositions physical presence /antics.

We signed Harrison on loan till the end of the season anyway so then signing him permentaly till the end of the season wouldn't make much sense would it?

Also ebby nelson isn't on loan either.

I've played on the Lancaster City pitch. Not for them just scaled the wall one time when we were pissed and had a kick about.

Also watched Darlo play them the other year. It was a horrific game. But the ground is decent for their level. I'd love an FA Cup draw against them at some point.

Enjoyed that! Harrison is going elsewhere end of season- shame that as he has been outstanding for us, reminds me of Linighan in the early 80s.

It's a real shame because we've been looking for a top quality striker like Scott Harrison for years.

Horden where did you put the rest of that ketamine it's good stuff?

Nelson-Addy isn't a loan signing either, it's a permanent move. The relevant bits on the official site said:

"Ronnie Moore has this afternoon made a move in the transfer market to complete the signing of versatile youngster Ebby Nelson-Addy.
Having been a regular for Villa Reserves, the skilful youngster was unable to break in to the First Team and was subsequently released in the summer of 2012.

Determined to prove himself and find another pathway in to the Football League, he has since spent spells in non-league with Worcester City and Brackley Town before arriving on trial at Pools.

“He’s still only young but he has a lot of ability and I think with some full-time training we can improve him further and he can be challenging for a place in the team before the end of the season.”

Sounds to me like Ronnie is already thinking about the squad for next season - has nobody told him we're going into administration?
