Oh I dont know, those who defend Russ and Ken to the hilt (ie get free tickets and belly rubs) will sponsor it.

Maybe they could use some of the transfer fee installments to pay for it???

Yeah we know the pitch is shit, but we're not paying for it.

Is basically what this is saying.

So we're paying players a few hundred quid a week hence having the worst team in the football league , they are letting the ground turn into a shit hole and we're playing on a ploughed field. Are the likes of Geoff still trying to tell us we'd be in the shit without IOR, how could it be any worse than this most of the conference clubs with tiny support will have better backing.

Basically, we don't want to pay for the pitch to get sorted but if you (the fans) want it doing you're going to have to pay for it yourself.

How things have come full circle.
I remember about 50 years ago my mam and dad started smoking Crown Filter Cigarettes and the reason for this was the coupons inside the packet were given to Pools towards a new set of Nets.
So i await for them to ask us to smoke Embassy.....................

Yes and I always got the impression that we had the Boro PA as part of that deal, presumably they paid him or something because I can't imagine Pools wanting to pay him a fee

So they get the most money in transfer fees probably in our history. Sell 3000 season tickets at the average L2 price, pay bargain basement wages for the shittest players in the country and expect US to pay to have the fucking pitch sorted out?

Fuck off IOR you clueless fucking idiots.

They do need chasing CHIP but we need to transfer our hatred of them from this message board into the ground for the last five home games.
Surely its time to get these protests back on the longer ior stay the more damage they will do.

But what if we frighten them away who will pay the bills? Id suggest the guy running the 8 till8 shop could run this club if he had big lumps of transfer fees coming in every few month

I think if you forget about Ken and Russ this is a pretty decent offer for a business to only pay a tenner and get on the website for a season and in the programme; it cheaper than any other sponsorship we do by a long way. You can be in raffles as well to win tickets in the hospitality which is a decent prize for a £10 sponsorship.

As its already been said, I can't see anyone doing this with Ken and Russ still in charge though. From a purely business point of view than yes but from a football or even anyone in the town who as a clue then no.

Would it be worth doing it just to be able to get something interesting on the website or in the programme. Do you think they'd allow me to do it if the name I wanted displaying was IOR out, 5 years of no investment or the anti IOR Mafia?

Cheeky bastards.
They got their last penny off me on Sept 28th 2013. I don't even do the Goldline now.
When they go I'll reconsider, not until.

Until now I've had no specific reason to hate Ken and Russ and the running of the club. It has been a gentle build up over time of complete bull. But this disgusts me! This is the clearest sign recently that Pools just aren't our club anymore. Why should we keep giving these cowboys our hard earned money when they don't give a flying f what we think and don't even listen to our concerns in the first place?

They're not getting a pound from me until they sort themselves out or we sort them out!

Yes we, I still support pools and always will no matter who is in charge; I fail to see why I shouldn't not reference the club as we because we have a pair of tossers in charge! As I said, this will never work with IOR in charge and I'm not saying people should do it. Merely that its actually decent what you get for your money but I won't be doing it while they are still in charge either

"We have highlighted six of these squares which are available for a higher level of sponsorship.

Corner 1 (CK/Town End Corner)
Corner 2 (Town End/Niramax Corner)
Corner 3 (Smith & Graham Stand/CK Corner)
Corner 4 (Niramax/Smith & Graham Stand Corner)
Town End Penalty Spot
Smith & Graham Penalty Spot

Each of these spots is available for sponsorship at £50 each and for that you will receive:
Mention on Tannoy when goal is scored from that corner/penalty spot

"

Give me strength.

Has anybody scored from a corner since Brian Honour at Sunderland? And what a load of old shite - not convinced if this is what counts as looking for new investment. They could busk in the shopping centre and earn more than that, won't even come close to the total raised by one of Mr I's regular sponsored tramp suckings.

I guess it means if we score a goal from a header from a corner etc. But what if that header comes from the penalty spot? Who gets their name mentioned? Or will the tannoy guy announce "And the Pools goalscorer is Scott Harrison from the GeoffN Penalty spot with the cross coming from the GeoffN corner flag"

That will sound really professional.

What if we take a corner, Harrison gets his head to it, blocked on the line, cleared to the edge of the box and then smashed home by Woods? Is that still the same phase that the corner was taken in? If so how many touches before its not credited as a goal from a corner?

We need answers.

Or we could just split the pitch up like on battleships and the tannoy guy could have an excel spreadsheet of who sponsors which centimetre of grass. If you say had 5 squares, once we have scored from all 5 squares then you have sunk your battleship and you win?

That would be fun.

This is one of the most ridiculous ideas I have ever heard of and shows the desperate lengths that Green will go to because he cant raise sponsorship any other way because nobody will touch it while he is in charge.

They are just trying to screw more money from their die hard fans to make up for the loss of revenue when the rest of us don't renew our season tickets, what's next sponsor the empty spaces on the terraces and in the stands,

I've thought of something just as appealing and it would raise more funds. The Half Time Shit In a Box Challenge. Russ gets strapped onto a crane and swung out over some big boxes that are on the pitch. Contestants pick a box, line him up and then and he shits in it from a great height. Hodcroft is in one of the boxes and if it hits him he has to run a lap of the pitch covered in shit while people throw coins at him in a 1970s blanket collection stylee. Would make a fortune.

Do you get your name called out by the PA when Hodcroft runs on your sponsored patch of grass?
