I had us down for a point yesterday, totally unproffessional to find a way to lose a game when the donkey work has all been done. Time is running out but for now I will remain delusional

The next 4 games are - March fixtures

Morcambe - away
Oxford - away
Mansfield - home
Cambridge -home

With the exception of Morcambes slim play off hopes every one of those teams has fuck all to play for. How much do the Pools players want survival? I'm clutching at the last straws here but there should be 8 or 9 points out of those games. Lets say +8 from those games

Easter fixtures

Newport - away
Southend - home

With Newport and Southend pushing for minimum play offs the easter fixtures will be tough - I'd probably take win 1 and lose 1 now. When Pools were riding high pushing for play offs we used to fuck up so hopefully one or both of these will do the same. In reality we'll probably only get a point from these 2 games. +1

At this point we need to be on a minimum of 36 points, we will be strugglig on 36 points pull off the great escape but anything less and we are down, hopefully miracles do happen and we will have 39 points or more with 5 games left.

Last 5 games - Hopefully Fenwick, Bates, Miller + some loan signings playing.

York away - a draw will not be good enough here - anything less than the 3 points and we are down. A defeat in this game sees Pools get relegated in front of 2000 away fans. +3

Accrington - home - with all respect to Accrington - if you don't beat them at home you don't deserve to e in the football league. +3

Luton - away - we never get anything there - defeat. 0

Exeter - home - +3

Carlisle - away - see York - lets be optomistic +3

That will be 48 points, which will either just scrape it or see us go down on goal difference. banghead

Stop struggling and drown with dignity....you're just dragging it out now.
There's no hope.

Jonny we need 8 wins from 11 games. If you think that is even remotely possible I suggest a visit to a shrink.

Well I think 7 wins with 2 draws should be enough. Easy peasy with our wonderful team ....

The team we fielded on Saturday was almost as poor as at some of the darkest points of the season. If you think that lot are capable of winning 7 or 8 out of the last 11 you should reside in a padded cell. I can't see us reaching 40 points never mind 50.

In the last 5 years, have we ever went on a run to win 7/8 games in 11?

We've only won 7 games all season!

You only have 6 wins in your predictions.

Good point - we'll just have to win 3 of the next 4. If not 4 in 4. I live in hope....

Without scot Fenwick we have very little hope of winning another game let alone winning 7 or 8 we find it impossible to keep clean sheets and I think the towel has been thrown in now. I reckon we will pick up 1 win if were lucky now and maybe a drab draw at york

never known anyone try to be so positive in a shit position.

we are down, this bunch of worthless players isn't going to double how many games we have won in the remainder of the season.

it's everything but the R next to our names at the moment and to be honest the sooner it's there the better, because then we will stop seeing posts on here saying how we stay up, we aren't down yet or the arguments about having to stay positive.

the bigger picture is need a method going forward how maintain fans because frankly, I see a lot of people not coming back next season

Get in. If we can grind out something at Oxford on Tuesday that sets us up nicely for 2 home games that both look to be winnable. Come on Pools......

If we can try and win games no matter how scrappy & hope those around us drop points then its a good start.

A win even if scrappy on Tuesday would be good and then 2 home games on the bounce which look winnable and we might get a few extra on the gate. Tranmere look to be falling quick and if we could climb above them before Easter, I'd be happy. Big ask though so will settle on one game at a time for now.

Well done Ronnie Moore. We haven't been playing like a bottom of the league team since he took over. A win on Saturday and a lot of people will start to really believe that we can get out of this mess. 16 points from 9 games should see us just about do it. Believe.....

Didn't realise Bingham scored as a sub again

I don't believe he has started a game since he went back. What's the odds he starts Saturday?

If we pull the great escape off we should all buy jonny a pint for questioning his optimism.

Reckon 5 wins from 8 games will keep us up,
The hope as gone now we EXPECT to stay up.

5 wins will see us stay up especially if one of those wins is against York Hopefully 5 or 6 points from the next 3 games - then we will go to york in a very strong position. A week is a long time in football - we can do this..... rolf

5 wins further wins still seems a lot to hope for, going to be massive against Cambridge next week

We only need five wins if the other contenders get four wins or more, which they aren't really showing many signs of doing.
If we manage to beat Cambridge and it moves us off the bottom, we will be quite obviously favourites to stay up.
It's the others who will need an unlikely number of wins, not us.

Come on Pools, if that isn't motive enough to play your puds off against Cambridge, nothing is.
