Here are a few points of fact which were all stated in public at the meeting on Saturday:

The reason for the Trust is simply to act as a voice for the majority of HUFC fans. Other things like share ownership of community ownership are all possibilities for the future but even discussions around that are matters for an elected board of trustees. All things are possible but nothing is decided.

I am not the chairman of anything, nor are any of the speakers from the meeting. I acted on Saturday merely as a facilitator - the small group of speakers present simply got the ball rolling. We will continue to do this until we are ready to vote a board of trustees at which point interested parties will select the leadership by an election.

I was at pains to make it very clear that this is absolutely outside the realms of any particular messageboard be it ITB, the Bunker or any other. It's bigger than that and I asked people to leave their message board disagreements at the door. Most did. It's regrettable that one or two people are trying to put a negative spin out there.

We specifically gathered together a representative from all interested parties on Saturday to avoid any possibility of it been seen as it being associated with any particular messageboard but the naysayers are trying to give it that particular spin. It it no more a individual Bunker or ITB thing than it is a HUDSA, HUFCSA. All these groups were represented but none are more important than the other. This is a group of fans interested in creating a supporters trust to represent them as one voice.

It is also important to separate individual views from the collective. What one person may think about X or Y is no more important than what the next member may think so its pointless to suggest otherwise. We all have our various opinions but the only thing that is critical is what is the majority votes for.

The forming of the trust is INCLUSIVE. It is not a jolly boys outing for McQue/Dunn/Appleyard/Harnish/Rickerby/Fireball or even the fat bloke down the pub. Don't believe anyone who says otherwise. The simple point is that nobody can do anything without the support of the trust and the trust doesn't yet exist. Graft went into preparing for Saturday and theres a lot more ahead. Already large numbers of people have volunteered and offered to pledge existing shares in the football club.

I will continue to work towards the day when a trust is formed. After that I may or may not be involved, it is one member one vote and whoever the trust members choose to be a board member is a matter for everyone.

In the meantime we have work to do. It was very clear on Saturday that people are concerned and they need a cohesive voice. The HUFC Supporters Trust will be that voice.

Well im grateful for those of you who stepped forward to get the ball rolling and the work that went in to it. The first step is always the hardest and im sure now the wheels have been set in motion that it will grow rapidly.

Good times ahead imo.

What sort of support can an exile with no money and no knowledge in this area provide to the Trust? Is there a place for run of the mill supporters? Is there shares, bonds, members, voting rights or what? How does it work?

Thank you to all those who are making effort and using their expertise.

Ed you can contribute in more ways than you think, dont let money or location stop you, follow the group on facebook and twitter and stay close to it, you never know when something comes up that you can help with.

Everyones support is needed.

I'm really excited by all of this, well done poolies.

Yubep is dead right, you never know what will be useful. For example I had chat with a guy on Sunday who said similar things and didn't know what he could offer. He works as a H&S Officer.

Well Health and Safety people tend to be good at drafting working documents and detail. That is an important skill when it comes to things like constitutions and written documents.

A big thank you to all the people who have contributed so far.
It is up to all of us to get behind this initiative and help in any way we can to make it work.

An amazing start by the those involved.

I trust there will be no negativity towards this.

I would question the sanity of anyone that is negative.

Great effort.

Should be. All statements need to be issued to all boards/facebook etc at the same time.

Just a word of caution though, as I believe there are a few people that are looking to derail this.

Obviously they have personal interests getting in the way, or maybe they just like to be the centre of attention.

I just hope those leading this are big enough and strong enough to ignore those types.

Have any of these people given 1 single reason to want to "derail" it??

Well done Mr I. As one of the various 'exiles' on this board I too feel distanced from events but am willing to contribute to a trust that keeps this club afloat.

Not one that would make any sense to any sane person.

Name them? If they had any credibility they would come on here and say why they think that those that worked so hard setting this up are wrong?

They wont though will they? Let them name themselves. Personally I hope the good folk getting this going just ignore them. Completely ignore them.

In what universe can people who don't say anything aim to be the centre of attention? (Your last two posts)

Please take your own excellent advice and completely ignore 'them' - as everyone else appears to be doing.

Sound like Saturday's meeting was a great start on the road to setting up a Supporters'Trust.

MOD - it was good to see you at the meeting on Saturday, do you know if there will be any more people from ITB at the next meeting? What was the general response on there?

I do know there were people present who have no affiliation to either forum at Saturdays meeting, have any more from ITB expressed an interest in coming to the next meeting? I don't know as I don't know anyone from ITB, in fact I only know a few from the Bunker.

Well done to those people who made the presentation; I was also encouraged by the number of interested fans supporting what can be achieved if we move forward collectively.

I wasn't there and can't get to many games but whatever happens on the pitch the fact that people have put their heads above the virtual parapet and have set the wheels in motion has to be one of the most positive things I've read about the club in ages and like many I'll keep an eye on how things develop and will help if and when I can.
