Has had a lot of criticism and been inconsistent in in both form and attitude, been on Twitter like a petulant 12 year old but thought he did well today especially in the second half. Bird and Smith grafted hard and their back line were physical, all arms and elbows and dirty fuckers.

Fair play to Compton he did well today and you could see genuine graft and him putting a shift in. The annoying thing is he has natural ability but doesn't always do himself justice,

Good second half from him. Put a couple of beauties In before he got the assist.

Usual dogs abuse from some especially a rarf in the CK who is possibly the most clueless person in the ground. (Tshibola is apparently garbage!!)

Compton is probably ten times the player Franks is to be honest.

6 out of 10 for me, plenty average play in amongst some good stuff. Was it him who broke forward and put the cross in for the goal ( i thought it was but guy next to me was adamant it was smith), that was fantastic play. He offers more than Franks does on the otherside.

Definitely Compton's assist on the goal, and whipped some pacy low crosses from free kicks in the second half that only needed a touch to get a goal.

I think the injury to Woods really galvanised the players and particularly Compton. It can go either way with players more concerned about the welfare of their friend but to me he seemed like he wanted to do well for his mate and to be fair he did him proud

He scares opponents and they were terrified of him. Almost MOTM but I thought Austin shaded it.

Compton is a very good player. I hope he learns from his twitter carry on - he seems to get himself up for the big games.. surely they all are now? We need every quality player we can get. I couldn't give a fuck about whether he's said this or that, we need quality on the pitch.

I didn't see any lack of effort but I did see a disjointed team. Thats what you get with a transient workforce I suppose. Obviously the second half was a vast improvement.

Austin had a very good game, what are you watching?

He's had some nightmares this season but yesterday, and more recently in general he's started to resemble a footballer again.

The whole back four played well yesterday. I also thought Flinders had a decent game, his form seems to have improved since Pears has left the club!

I was watching the match if he had a good game for you then good. For me if that's having a good game it shows how poor with have become if that's a good left back.

I've been one of his biggest critics since he's been at Pools but he grafted and dug in and ended up putting in a decent cross for Ryan Bird. We need that on a consistent basis, not once every three or four games. On his day, Compton can be unplayable and a genuine handful and he knows it.

austin had a little part in the goal with a good ball into smith before he released compton.

also lot more solid defensively winning headers and putting body on the line. nobody saying he was unbelievable but he definitely has improved more recently compared to earlier in season
