Brilliant today. He was a handful and very energetic. Reminded me of when Luke James broke onto the scene as a 17-year-old.

He's a little terrier. He showed fight, desire and workrate (as did Bird), what a difference to Morgan and Harewood!

I agree he pulled the centre's all over. He was so hungry and was denied a stone wall penalty.

Let's not go ott, he showed a bit but has a lot more to do to show as a star. On today I'd say he looked like he might at least be able to make a living out of the game in the fourth division.

The first 45 minutes were dire from the forwards.... quality didn't improve much second half but the work rate made up for it

Lets stop comparing Connor to Luke James, both he and Bird had good movement throughout the game. Connor was bullied all game of their big dirty bastard at the back. Definitely start Bird and Smith on Tuesday.

I thought Smith was a threat all game, worked hard and made some intelligent runs. His ball control is excellent and stays on his feet more than Luke James. I like the lad and definately think he has a future in the game. Bird worked hard but kept slipping over - think he needs to get some longer studs in. His goal was reward for his non-stop effort so well done.

Both did well although I thought Bird looked slow. His work rate was superb though. No question that both should start at Dagenham.

If he keeps up that work rate and attitude, it'll not be long before the goals follow. I was so impressed with the lad yesterday. He was able to hold the ball up a few times too, Harewood isn't capable of that and Smith is half the size of him!

I think Bird is a little bit rough round the edges, he spent a lot of time on the floor, and for a lad Who is 6ft 4 he didn't win much in the air BUT, a goals a goal...... And we definitley need them! I'm waiting till I see more games from him. The lad worked hard aswell, it's the attitude we want to see, chased a lot of balls down and if he lost the ball he showed fight to follow it up.

First half I felt it was a little flat, especially Compton (bar that cross).I think Ronnie had a few choice words and a much better seccond half. Gutted about woods, he's been one of our best players of late. I though Mirfin and Harrison did really well too! I wasn't impresed with Mirfin last week but he was strong, calm and confident yesterday. A leader, that's what we need from him.

All the centre forwards we get Duck when they jump, they don`t attack the ball, I call it the `Nish` effect :hand:

Also, I don`t believe Smith just played that well in 1 game, he just suddenly became good enough to play 3/4 of the way through the season sctatchinghead

First half he had taken rohipnol like the rest of the team but it wore off at half time. He just seemed to be everywhere for me second half. Looks a prospect.

I thought Smith was excellent, where's he been all season? His touch and link up play was excellent he has some pace as well. It was a nice bit of interplay with Compton which led to the goal. In terms of his general play I think he has more potential ability than Luke James, he's technically better for me.
