Hes saying the permanent signing of Scott Harrison is proof that the owners are backing the club.
Make of it what you will but i think hes just looking after himself keeping on the right side of GREEN n HODCROFT!

The thing that worries me about statements like this is that seeds are being planted for Hodcroft and Green to be still around going into next season strangling the life out of the club. The PR work is in full swing.

I dont think they have any intentions of leaving the whole takeover was a scam.
They will tell us we are brilliant supporters and to renew our season tickets.
Promising us they will do everything possible to get back into the league straight away.
Russ will already be preparing his sales patter and probably blame the fallen price of oil for the clubs demise.

Seriously do you think they backing the club? We've sold over a million pounds worth of players and he is sole permanent addition to the squad who was actually atatched to a pro club. It's a laughable statement.

I could do a very long to post to suggest other reasons why do I really need to post what everyone already knows?

The day we were 'taken over' Russ told is that the owners have wanted out for two years now they are backing the club

Geoff did you read PJ's post? Every piece of logic and evidence before your eyes is that IOR are not backing the club and quite frankly it appears they may be doing the opposite

It is completely bizare as the owners haven't actually backed a manager in years. If you think signing a young lad for an at best nominal fee or possibly even free transfer proves they are backing us while we are in a position that required 4 or 5 signings then I don't know what else can be said to get through to you.

I suppose Sam knows if he tows the line he'll still be in a job next season.

Incidentally I do blame I OR ...they have got us into this mess. Whether they have now "Saved" us from a worse fate I do not know
I also blame Colin Cooper for some very poor signings.
I blame most of the players...although some are simply just not good enough.

However let's not tar everyone with the same brush.

We were saved from a situation created by the people who eventually saved us. You couldn't make it up, although the more you look at it the more it could only be made up!!

Anyone who seriously thinks IOR and Russ are acting in the best interests of HUFC are delusional. We may well of dodged a bullet in TMH, but it's a bullet Russ (and maybe IOR) loaded into the gun. IOR have overseen / orchestrated our decline over the last (at least) 5 years, all the signs point to this continuing. Of course everyone at the club, who either run or a paid by the club, will try and paint out a rosy picture in which IOR are the Knights in shining armour. The reality of the situation is that they are not and its about time everyone was wise enough to spot it.
