Post subject: The Corner Flag - After the game on Saturday
PostPosted: Mon Feb 23, 2015 1:26 pm
Meeting in the corner flag with a view to starting a supporters trust.

Regardless of your opinions on the current owners and situation I think it's time we got something together to help with all eventualities, be it liquidation, administration, relegation, some other words that end in ation or to forge closer links with the club as something we'll all agree on is that we feel alienated after the last few years of decline.

It's not about removing IOR or taking over to form a fans run club, a supporters trust is something all clubs should have and most do.

Get yourself along and hopefully we can get the ball rolling and get everyone on the same page.

Just a thought, while WFC are up, maybe they would be able to help if they are not getting away too soon? Haven't they already been through the reforming process?

Anyone able to get in touch with them?

Sent an e-mail yesterday to a guy who helped them get sorted, he replied today saying he would get in touch tomorrow and rest assured, he can help.

Sounds positive.

I imagine the people paying a fiver would rather rip their own eyes out than pay £25 so no.

Would be nice if the supporters association stepped up to chair this meeting and create an agenda.

My suggestion for an agenda:

1) right then, who can do what?

2) good, get it done then and report back next week.

What was that operation a few years back where people were going round Asda and stuff to get people involved?

Do it for this project too so it doesn't fly past 90% of people's attention.

Realistically you don't want too many there for the initial meeting or nothing will be achieved. Just needs a group of 50 or so willing to put time in to get something off the ground and give people something to get behind.

Mr I, meetings are a waste of time full stop. It's not a meeting that's needed it's a rally.

A meeting is fine as long as the first person to mention inviting a representative from the club is stabbed in the head with a pen.

Some interesting stuff on here...particularly the example Constitution.

The Constitution is the first thing you need, then the rest should follow.

Mr I and Kev,

Could you both represent each of the message boards and come up with an agenda? So idea on each board PM'd to each of you and knock your heads together?

This can be a starter for ten to at least get things kicked off.

I'm sure a Supporters Trust would get some good support from the exiles too - particularly for paid membership.

Anything to raise some cash to get it going would surely be supported well from us overseas Poolies.

Its only to come up with an agenda at the end of the day. Part of that would be to select a committee :D

ok. As long as every statement they make isn't followed by 'they don't go to games anymore' like a stuck record. Thats exactly the point halfwit. Those of who don't go , do so because of the current regime.

Wrong time, wrong place. Whilst the timing is good as at least it's better than trying to organise a meeting mid week when people could be at work etc it's bad timing as some will be fueled with alcohol.
Wrong place, There will be around 3000 attending the game so I would think the venue is too small. It was printed in the Mail and the Echo so there will be loads of interest hopefully, need a venue near the ground to try and capture the fans before they go home, preferably one where they don't sell alcohol.

Amen brother, I did mention this but at least it is a start, the next one requires the correct venue though!
