Nick Loughlin, excellent on the radio, good honest match reports and a proper Pools fan, over a long period of time.

Can be very critical.

Meanwhile folk write on here about him negatively under non de plumes, if your calling someone put your name.

Some of the people on here calling IOR wanted the council to sell IOR the ground, not too long ago.

People blaming a journalist and mentioning him in the same breath as Hodcroft and Green is absolutely comical.

Good journos are the ones who take no prisoners and speak there mind. Why can't this man do this??

The saviour article was shocking and clearly not written by a "proper"
Pools fan.

He's been at the Northern Echo for years hasn't he? He's either not very ambitious or not very good.

I certainly attended meetings to see if the Ground Sale was a goer. It was pretty fucking obvious from the word go it wasn't! 5million missing from Dan Robinsons calculations....

Can be very critical, but was very supportive of IOR when they "saved" the club, which is what people are angry about. And rightly so. Nick is a good, no, a great friend but he was wrong.

When is he critical?

His articles are pro IOR. His match reports are simpson esque.

Considering he's a pools fan im very surprised at the way he's going on.

He seems to talk about his fellow pools fans with contempt too, like he's above us, and anyone who dares speak out is a keyboard warrior.

Bizarre

Just leave the c-unt up ken's arse and let him get on with it.

If he had any backbone, and any issue with the bunker he'd come on here and put his side across.

I'd imagine you'd just brush being directly abused by people you don't know on the Internet off without reaction.

It's the very definition of 'keyboard warrior'

Nick Loughlin isn't the person anger should being directed at here, it is very very silly to do so.

You mean a the comment piece that posed a question and asked you to make your own mind up like comment pieces in newspapers do?

An articles in a newspaper has fuck all to do with us getting beat today or being bottom of the league.

No one said it did.

I and many other fans would have just liked the local media to put some pressure on IOR, to try n get answers.

Not to just bend over

Got to agree with both ElvisC and PJ. Fans are angry and looking for more people to blame. Nick Loughlin is a mediocre journalist who published an article that reeked of him trying to be IOR's chosen mouth piece. It's done but he's not responsible in any way for the state Pools are in so to give him the level of abuse aimed at the real culprits is pointless.
Unfortunately we don't have local journalists with the ability to ask probing questions.

I'll summarise. Nobody should writing articles saying IOR have "saved"Hartlepool United, when it was IOR who put us in the position of needing to be "saved". Endof. Nick is a friend of mine, he's not a bell-end and he's not a cu-nt.

But I will say here and now that the item wasn't a good idea and shouldn't have been written, he knows I think that.

Incidentally I also heard a Female Pools Fan saying similar things on BBCC Tees Fans Panel two weeks ago. "Thanking" IOR. I don't see this person as much as I see Lof but when I do I will be asking her what she meant too, and if she agrees that all they have done is "save" what they have fucked up in the first place.

The article is about ior. green and hodcroft work for them. Not really bizarre.

The article was disgraceful and should never have been written by a supposed pools fan. Left a very sour taste with me. Can't pretend it wasn't written.

Hodcroft is the main blame in all of this. That goes without question. Green comes next. Nobody is putting them in a bracket that suggests equal blame.

I don't blame loughlin for were we are but I was disgusted by that article.

Nothing was 'saved' as nothing had changed....it was a temporary distraction that had us all acting like a dog whose attraction had been diverted by its ball being thrown..... we were like prisoners who found the cell door unlocked but the main gate firmly shut....... we were going nowhere. And still are.

Another thing that annoys me is if I was a sports writer I'd have this allover the back pages. I'd love to be in his position and actually say it as it is. What's thecworst that can happen. He wouldn't be telling lies, the truth would certainly hurt

Nobody in the Media has actually covered the failed takeover "properly" in my eyes. Nobody has really asked who brought TMH to the table, and nobody has mentioned that it took fans ten minutes of Googling to work out Harris was a charlatan with dubious connections to the panshite at Swindon and Hereford. Nobody.

Loughlin cant be put in the same breath as green or hodcroft but he has fantastic opportunities to raise serious questions that need answering. Our club is dying on its feet now and what is he doing to find out why? How? Nothing. Can he please come on here and explain how ior are our saviours? Where eight points behind third bottom where going to be relegated for the first time in our history. We have spent zero on players for years the chairman or chief executive clearly do retain lists tear on year so can he please explain how they are saving us? Does he actually know if the takeover was ever genuine?

So why is he slagging pools fans off on here?

Is it because the fans are critisising IOR?

If so then he is an apologist for them.

Or am I missing somehing?

He is paid to ask proper questions and do proper reporting. All he does is cosy to the club.

The defeat today has popped the balloon of the most optimistic or delusional of us. Does he expect everyone to live in cloud cuckoo land with him ? Not all of us get paid to watch Pools Nick , it's more to most of us than a job

Because over the last 17 years Hodcroft has been a media darling hasn't he? It must be because nobody has asked questions stpid I'm sure requests for interviews are made regularly they were in the article everyone got all excited about, do you reckon questions will be answered?? I'd imagine people who report on Pools would have an easier and more fulfilling job if they were.

He slags off murray in the nortern echo this morning ans has also done it on radio tees.
He will most probably slag off IOR when they are long gone while sucking up to the new owners.
