Desperately hoping for a Pools win, but think it might end up a draw. 1-1.

Whats the criteria with using first names for certain players and not others. I noticed Harewood always gets slagged off in games as "Marlon" but for example Franks gets slagged off by his surname.

I'm already confused between Marlon and Marvin.

I use number of character points scored through things like fist pumping, over the top goal celebrations and general lovability and divide it by the shit performance-ometer reading. Add in an exemption from the system for any player who is an official escapegoat or legend and away you go.

High score = first name in jolly tone.
Medium score = second name but with a nickname type ending added eg Franksy.
Low score= Franks or Harewood, like a naughty boy in a very strict school.

Franks is a relatively quiet bloke so he only needs a poor half to drop to Franks whereas he has to play very well just to get to Franksy. Harewood is big, played at a higher level and has a well rehearsed commitment repertoire so he gets loads of character points and has to play consistently badly to become Harewood.

Legends get nicknames and escapegoats get the word fucking put in front of their name.

Pools are on a roll now. 2-1 to us. We'll be out of the bottom two within 4 weeks.

No prediction from me because I'm making the trip....all I hope is that we turn up, continue the form from the last couple of games and make the trip worthwhile.

Dare I say it but Moore might have got it wrong today, as at Shrewsbury. On both occasions changing a winning formation to set up more defensively giving the opposition all too much respect. Understandable at Shrewsbury, but not against a bang average Portsmouth. Admittedly he probably expected more from Morgan and this may have had some bearing on the result, but to go away to a team like Portsmouth and not have a shot on target or close to testing their keeper isn't good enough.
Hopefully Morgan improves a bit with match fitness, god he has to ....
