7/1 with BetVictor to stay up and 1/6 with coral to go down. £1 mil on us to stay up and £6 mil on us to go down and if we stay up we make 1 million quid to buy a whole new squad for league two and if we don't we're no worse off. It's easy running a football club...

I'm going to make about 700 if we go down. The question is whether I shot 100 on us staying up?

Pools will finish 4th or 5th bottom. This is despite the boardroom. Ronnie Moore is a messiah.

If that happened, I trust there'd be tramp gobbling happening? I truly hope Ronnie Moore could be persuaded to stay on next year regardless of what league we're in. We'd not get better in the Conference and none of our previous 5 managers have done as well with the ever reducing playing budget.

Quite early in the season when it was 7/1. I wanted to soften the blow a little bit.

Aye, but bookmakers like to pay out quickly. Although I presume it's so we re-gamble the money but none of that from me. I'm spending it on booze.

I have withdrawn my winnings from Bet Victor. I had my bet in middle of March when we were 5/1 to stay up.

Of course, if we were all the successful and knowledgeable people we all think we are when it comes to gambling we would shot every penny we have on a bet, but we don't because we just are guessing on the outcome. A good gambler only bets what he can afford to lose and a clever gambler will always only use his stake money from his winnings to have another bet and keep the bookies money for his own use.
