I've always liked the idea of 4 on 4 off, probably get more time with the family.

Its a great shift pattern,best one i've ever done.I always classed the day before your 1st night shift as a day off.

It's a great pattern, feels like you're part time. Long hours when you're there but you get used to it, best part of two weeks off for just 4 days holiday. Can have a good drink after your second day shift too!

But if the weekends fall on your days on it's not great for family time though is it. You'll be off during the week when the kids are at school and at work when they're off.

Loads of lads do them shifts at my place, some like them and some don't, a bit like any shift work really.

And take 8 days off and it's nearly a month!!!!
