Please can someone tell me what these two talentless goons do other than 2 minute cameo's fronting reality TV shows, and the odd quiz that warrants them winning TV awards every year?

You might not like or watch the shows they present but to suggest they are talentless is ridiculous.

They are brilliant TV presenters. Completely natural (which is a talent in itself on camera) and funny. Apprently they exactly the same off camera as well which is an achievement given the wealth and fame they've achieved.

I think there's a lot to be admired about Ant and Dec, two normal lads from the North East who have made it very big.

Cripes.....some people are easily pleased......a couple of hammy, well prepared gags and celebrity crawling.

They aren't on the cutting edge of comedy or anything but you wouldn't really expect them to be. They are light hearted prime time presenters.

Take the Jungle show for example. Now that without those two would probably be one of the worst things that's ever been on the telly and wouldn't have lasted to a second series. They are brilliant on it they actually make it worth watching and they are funny, taking the piss out of each other and the people in it. I don't care what anyone says Ant and Dec are alright!

Fair enough lads, I just can't see what the appeal is. I always get the impression they're employed to appease the 'there aint' enough North East people on the telly' brigade.

They're on the telly because everyone loves people from the north east. We are the funniest and friendliest people on the planet.

I don't watch anything they're on now, but when they presented CD UK many years ago it was hilarious.

It's a sad indictment of how shite everyone else must be when these two have won 'tv presenter of the year' awards seemingly since the year dot, for basically trotting out the same old crap and inane grins.

No real problem with the cheeky geordies but Mary Beard pisses all over them.

There is nowt wrong with them at all. Infact they are very very good at what they do.

Sometimes people just like to whinge.

Some folk just prefer the Graham Norton type.
