Can anyone give me an update on what the conditions are on the roads at Hartlepool. When I was driving home about 8:30 it was snowing pretty heavily and the a19 was beginning to gather a dusting of snow and theres white sheet on the ground at Wingate now.

Cheers bbolt

Has anyone else had their street light bulbs replaced with these shitty ones that give of less light than a candle? I used to be able to see the houses accross from me at night

Unfortunately yes, i cant see to put the key in the door. Apparently the council.budgeted 5 million to change the bulbs but only cost 3.8 so now they're replacing the posts themselves that are over 30 years old. They make cuts to public services, lay people off and then seem to be struggling to waste 5 million pound

My street doesn't even have a street light. It's pitch black n you have to rely on house lights.

On the subject of street lights, where my mam now lives in Leamington has no lights at all after midnight. Everywhere outside the town centre is pitch black.

Saves the council a few grand a month, but the it costs the NHS ten times that in broken legs.

PoolieDan , there's snow drifts on all the roads 4 foot high, you'll never get through from Wingate. If I were you I'd phone the boss and tell him you're working from home.

(Sorry this is a bit late but it'll do for tomorrow, ok?)
