Two facts that shows just how out of touch english football and its inner circle is.

Hodgson ignoring the three players so far better than anyone else its ridiculous. What a tool that man is.

Gareth Bale only got 1% of the votes world wide, but got 16% in the UK which would have put him second overall had it been replicated across the world.

And we wonder why we cant get anywhere near a world cup success.

How has he? Macherano had a fantastic world cup, was by far Argentina's best player. I don't watch Spanish footy so can't judge him for the calendar year but he outshone Ronaldo and Messi on the biggest stage. Roy's vote is fair enough, why would you only vote for attacking players?
As for Neuer, name me a better keeper last year, he'd be in my top 3.
It seems its just going to be passed between Messi and Ronaldo depending on who's team is doing better that year.
