Fair play to him. He might be shit, but he's doing exactly what Ronnie Moore wants.

I think Ronnie mentioned something about the players being scared of falling out. Well Franks is showing he's not. He's just trying to buy himself a new contract off the gaffer by the looks of it.

Fair play to him? ..... Are you joking? He's passing the book! He has been on of our weaker players, pissing about that much with the ball and crossing the ball straight to their defence. I honestly thought he was playing for Morcombe yesterday.

To be fair in the first half yesterday he was the only player who stood out to me. He got the ball and went for it either putting a cross in or trying a shot himself or trying to beat a man down the wing.

To be fair he was the only Pools player to really hurt the opposition yesterday.

That full backs legs must have been fucking knacking, it was a cold day and those.15 or so (out of 15) crosses that he pinged into his legs must have yucked.

He puts himself about and he does put the effort in but he's so out of his depth it's unbelievable, just not good enough. He found his level against East Thurrock.

Imagine being accused of hiding by Jonothan Franks the shame of it, it would like being called a bit of loose cannon by Kim Jong Un.

He plays like Kitch to be fair. Both regularly clear the Rink End roof.

Haha I can't argue with that. My comment was based only on that first half performance mind from what I've seen of the games I've Been to this season and the previous season he's just not good enough along with the majority of what we have here. But at least he's came out and been honest hopefully it will pull a positive reaction out of some of the players Moore either decides to let stay here or can't get rid of.

I'm one of Franks' biggest critics usually, however I thought he was our best player yesterday (not saying much I know). Time and again he beat the full back and put a cross in, he was very positive with his play. Unfortunately out of about a dozen crosses he put in only 2 or 3 ever looked that threatening. Still contributed more than most yesterday, and more than he usually does himself.

He's still shite like.

Franks can put a shift in but is maddeningly inconsistent.

How he's a pro footballer is beyond me. Can't pass, can't shoot, can't take a man on, can't make the correct run or get into space and yesterday offered not to help Holden. Hopefully the goals against tin pot opposition will fool some desperate club into offering us something for him to move. I'd take a bag of footballs myself
