Much better than previous games but 100% need some more players in January. It's a shame Dolan got injured in the warm up like, Harewood put himself out there and Ironside held the ball up well at times and won us a few free kicks. Not convinced by Schmeltz, he doesn't have any bottle and seems very lightweight.

I'd still rather see him play than Franks.

Improvement as you said, looked like they had a decent shape for once. Shame we sat back so much once we scored.

He put himself about though unlike Featherstone who has never managed a tackle in his life.

I thought Ironside was man of the match today.

If we passed to woods feet we may creat something as he showed with that turn and through ball to Ironside but sadly he mis controlled it.

Dolan was a big miss imo

Doesn't really matter cos Mansfield and Carlisle winning makes it academic anyway

Signings now need to be made with the Conference campaign in mind for next season

Holden was awful. I agree wit Mutt the number of passes over hit by Woods was horrendous. The lack of quality is alarming. The battling qualities returned for one game but the lack of skill and control and ability to pass and cross the ball was clear for all to see IMO

Which is why there is not a hope of staying up, if the gap is at 9 or 10 points and only 2 teams catchable then quite frankly the whole job is fucked anyway

Nothing less than 5 or 6 straight wins would do but they don't seem capable to win one

Their left back ran from well within their half for the goal- not just Austin at fault . Smeltz wasn't bad with some of his dead ball delivery but was otherwise awful, so was Holden. Midfield went missing most the second half. Marlon & Ironside did well & Bates & Jones were ok at the back for most of the game. An overall improvement -yes. Good enough- no.

Compared to other times I've seen Holden I thought he did ok - not ok in he deserves to play, ok in terms of how he's performed before. He looked good going forward against Burton but his defending is generally shite.

Has a decent enough long throw though

Can't understand Woods MotM. Likes the Hollywood ball and gave it away every time he tried it.

Ironside had a good game as did Marlon again.

I think we tired, hence us dropping off for 20-30mins in the second half. Did well in the first half though, their back four shit their pants when we put them under pressure. Shame we couldn't score a couple when we were dominating in the first half.

A poor disciplinary record is usually the hallmark of a bad team, the fact we have gained the least yellow cards in league 2 says it all about how soft our team are.

It was an improvement on what went before, but what went before was pathetic.
