but its now time for me and hundreds of others who stopped going while I.O.R were in charge to return and help our team and Ronnie to survival. I stopped 3 years ago( apart from a couple of home games) after following my club around the country for over 40 years missing only a handful of home games and attending over 500 away games despite living in Manchester / Walsall & Bristol for a few years. I felt I had to make a stand for the long term good of our club because I still believe that I.O.R would not have gone if hundreds had not stayed away and helped stop the drip feed of money. I totally understand and respect all who decided to keep on supporting the team etc but as much as it hurt I had to make my stand. I urge all others who did the same for any reasons to return now because this team needs points in the festive season well before the new players arrive otherwise it could be curtains by 1st January. We also need to get the home attendances up from now to prove to the new owers & manager that we do care which hopefully leads to many more signings during the window.

Well said TZ. I can't want for Saturday. Not because I expect miracles; 3 points will still be a big ask but because it will feel like the towns club again and Ronnie moore seems like a belting appointment. The Feel good factor is back despite being bottom of the league!

the reptilians have their order in the scheme of things but we Poolies will fight for our place

humanity must elevate itself to the status of Gods

if Hartlepool is first to react we will take our place at the top table

I am serious, most will think this is nonsense but we can make this happen

I believe if we take the lead the Vic will be absolutely rocking!

I thought it said betting appointment on the first read, what are the odds of that?

To the 2000 season ticket holders who gave up a few years ago.
Get yourself down the ticket office this could be the start of a new adventure.

I sense the good times are on the way back.

Hope you're right Kev.

Will get into the Vic at 2:30 (get a pint or two which I didn't do under IOR) and actually just maybe might go in expecting to enjoy the match for once

I agree with the OP.
We three haven't been since Sept. 28th 2013.
During that time we have done other things and made other commitments. Supporting Pools used to be our main priority.
However attending matches home and away cost a lot of money and it had to be budgeted for. That money has been allocated elsewhere and, for us to commit to Pools once again, we have to adjust our budget. It is probably going to be around February time, at the earliest, before we can seriously consider going again.
We are no longer ST holders so paying at the gate, plus the expense of a 200 mile round trip, plus spending money on the day makes the day out cost around £100 per home match ( two full price tickets, one concession, fuel, pre match drinks, food etc ) Granted the offer of reduced prices will help and hopefully that offer will be extended. Fuel prices are good at the moment so that's another plus. I used to allocate three grand a season minimum to following Pools, I have to find that again if we are to resume attending matches.
Then, as I mentioned, there are commitments that have been made. For example I am Santa on Saturday night for the Lions Xmas float, starting at 5-30 pm. If I lived in the town that wouldn't be a problem.
So I hope everyone will understand our predicament. Attending matches for us needs planning and budgeting for and we will get there as soon as it is possible.
At first it's going to be the odd game and then decide for next season's promotion onslaught.

I''ll be turning out fairly regularly. Mr Derwent; my cost of fuel is zero with it being a company car so if you want a lift there and back when I go then feel free to jump in. Same goes for you Mr PIN.

Its odd how other things take over and its easy to lose that love of pools.

I am watching the younguns now on a saturday afternoon, like Mr Offshore, and its a pleasure I am not giving up.

If they decide not keep playing for seaton under the new management, or they arent wanted, then I will return, sometimes.

I am still not happy to give money to pay for those at the club that I believe are not worthy, and have their own agenda, but hey ho. I want to return.

I might even start buying match day lottery tickets again. Not that I have a chance of getting even close like.

Love to.
I have to wait on that one as I now play golf regularly again ( that accounts for a grand of me footy money ). I am currently involved in a winter league and the format is the top eight pairs go into a play off. The last qualifying round is Dec 28th and my partner and me are entered. The draw for tee off times hasn't been made yet so I don't know if I can make the match.
This is the problem, current commitments.
Looking ahead, as I said earlier, it's gonna be Feb at least before we can say for definite.
Got something arranged for boxing day as well.
it's all go.

Very kind of you, John. There are three of us but in the event that the other two can't go, it would be great to travel up with you and JC. We'll get Mr Parmo to buy the beer and we're sorted.

Hell's bells, you are a bumptious fart and no mistake.

I've never been tempted by the ignore button before but I think I've reached breaking point.
