A statement from IOR on decision to sell shareholding in Hartlepool United.
IOR announce with regret that, after being involved with Hartlepool United Football Club since September 1997 (17 years), the decision has been made to sell its shareholding in the Club to TMH 2014 Limited.

IOR wishes the new owners every success and would like to thank all of the staff at the Club for giving the owners 100% support over the years, which has been appreciated more than words can say. We wish them and the team every success for the future.

A three letter name as well so all the logo's will be quite easy to change.

Will Tea Bags be returning to Victoria Park though?

IOR have been more complimentary about the new owners than they have about any outgoing manager.

Thanks for the first 10 years, the best of my life. The last few have been torture though and have really soured it.

Onwards and (hopefully) upwards.

This. We've had some amazing highs and some real lows, but hopefully now, we can move on and stay in the league.

Cheers IOR, I never thought i'd see my team at Cardiff, and thanks for the sheer contempt you've treat us all with in the last few years.

Best to move on now eh?...

“I want to make it clear though that we will seek to fully embrace and acknowledge the efforts of the supporters and we want them to engage with us with the aim of always doing what is best for Hartlepool United,

Is that the best comment you have heard from club in years

The first thing the new owners should do is hand all the accounts to the FA to peruse and see if Ken and IOR can be charged with financial irregularities - then strike the smug fucker from being a company director for a few years...

The guy still boils my piss.

It's not 'debt' really it, it's money they put it themselves, they've sold the club and walked away it's gone.

So IOR were never really as bad as some suggested they would be at the end. No administration, no financial crisis they've done the decent thing and I think will be remembered on the whole as good owners for that.

Agreed if that is the case and the 'debt' is truly written off then fair play to them, they have done the decent thing.

There was never any debt! If they'd attached anything to the club a simple "prove it" would have had them running.

We were an empty vessel!
