Some interesting stuff from his time at Scunthorpe in those articles.
Looks like he was told he was going to be chairman then the board did a u-turn and appointed someone else. Hobson said some stuff on the radio that the other board members didn't like so decided to kick him out.

He's popular down at Wednesday. A massive fan who's been known for throwing a few million at them when they're struggling. Not to say he hasn't had mixed reviews down there, lads that I know are keen on him because he was a genuine fan but he's had his critics.

Sounds more of a football man than a business man from what i've heard though, which would be a good thing.

I'll never forget the words of Duncan Bannntyne though "There's more chance of me having a sex change than owning a football club" and if even he won't get involved with football...

Exactly what I thought Phil, for all of his faults the Peterbrough chairman at least talks to the fans puts his money where his mouth is and tries to get best deal for the club.
