It's an issue, Murray had a deal for Porter lined up (Sheffield Utd) an experienced player who has scored goals in league 1. He refused to come because we are at bottom of league 2. Sadly these players get paid so much money these days they would rather sit in the reserves than think screw it, I'm going to go and show I am a good player and make this crap team better. It's too much like hard work and responsibility for them

It's always easier for an experienced manager with a track record though and has worked previously with plenty of decent players.

A Ronnie Moore is more likely to twist your arm than a bloke who's been a manager for five minutes. If the money is on offer players will sign.

To survive I honestly think 3 or 4 key players would suffice, centre half, midfielder, striker, maybe another keeper. A good manager and a good coach with better training methods, and a few good results and 3 or 4 of the players we have now may suddenly come good.

A new spine of the team is required, 2 centre halfs, 2 strong centre midfielders, and two new strikers .. Maybe get away with Fenwick being one and Hawkins being a CM (I rate him)
