After reading that, and remembereing how racist they were, I think I suddenly prefer the drum.

The last one isn't better in any way. I'm sure if you sang it to Harewood, Westy, Johnrose and the other black players we've had over the years they would all see the funny side though.

It was more a anti darlo song but it was the 80s at the time and two little boys was well before rolf harris was known as a nonce.

The "Zigga Zagga" song wasn't anything to do with Darlo. It was Bradford City, when they had Ces Podd playing for them (1973-80). The only coloured player to play for Darlo in the 70's was Lloyd Maitland who was famously dismissed in the game at Feethams for battling with Derrick Downing..when he was sent off he threw his Black Armand onto the turf which the players were wearing in memory of Pools full-back Dave Wiggett, who had been killed in a car crash the day before.

Billy Horner described the Darlington fans as "Animals" that day, as they booed throughout the minutes silence. A paragraph that was mysteriously "culled" from the club History Book in 2008 despite being in the draft version...

There was even a second verse to that enlightened ditty, as Bradford indeed had TWO 'black players' in Cecil and Cyril Podd.

I remember the Bertie Mee chant from the mid-70s and I'm sure it was Don Revie originally, not Bill Shankley. Did it really get changed? Would have served Revie right like, he was a horrible pasty faced miserable bastad of a twatting bounder at Leeds and a useless England manager. (Edited for accuracy!)

The dirty twat, he's pissed in my hat, and now I've got nothing to wearo, wearo, wearo. Can't beat a dodgy sombrero!
By the way most of the aforementioned songs were 70's, possibly 60's the odd one. And I'll leave you with " you're going home in a fucken ambulance"
