Post subject: Ok then, who's next?
PostPosted: Sat Oct 04, 2014 6:18 pm
I'd love a Martin Allen type (or indeed Martin Allen) but I don't think he'd come here.

Any suggestions?

As I have said elsewhere, it will be Humphreys.

What is even the point in this thread?

I'll go for Sam Collins...

We have no money, he is already on the wage bill and is best mates with the CEO. I reckon he is a strong candidate.

It doesn't really matter. Whoever it is will be gone within a year and we'll be back here again.
Wadsworth, N Cooper, Hugher and C Cooper didn't have a chance. Selling clubs only work if you have players to step in and replace the outgoing players.

Selling Luke James sums the club up. 5 goals all fooking season (least of all 72 FL clubs) and we sell our best striker. What a joke.

Someone fresh, new and up for a challenge

if we consider ourselves fucked anyway, then anything the new guy can bring will be a refreshing change.

If IOR were willing to put some money in, would love to see Gordon Watson take charge.

Open the job up for applications...

I'd be disappointed if it was someone inside the club. Fresh ideas needed .

Might throw an application in myself

took a school football team to the cup final 2 years running only to lose on penalties

Surely that puts me top of the pile

Humphreys is a no chance as chairman of the PFA he couldn't take a managerial role unless he gave that up, which he wouldn't do in a million years.

How much longer do you think Russ will be here ? Plenty of rumours doing the rounds from people who are normally on the money that he is close to walking. Be other jobs out there where he doesn't have to work under the conditions he does at Pools.

True.

Bottom line is we're fucked and it doesn't really matter who ends up with the poisoned chalice.

poolie til i die and this is fucking killing me...

What's he now 36?

He can't be far off retirement and then he has to quit as pfa chairman anyway?

I think he'll be up for it me.

Doubt Beagrie would give up an easy job on the telly for a job he'd be expected to do with his hands tied behind his back.

Heart says Watson but head says someone experienced at getting out of this division (at the top, not the bottom as that seems too easy)

If its Humphreys then I will cut all ties to HUFC including this board. Someone else will have to run it.

Barron in saying it's Collins reading between the lines.

We need someone to keep us up, not a rookie experiment.

Hearing Beardsley has thrown his hat into the ring.

Colin Cooper might be interested also.

Why the hate for Humphreys? I know he probably should have been released well before he did but that wasn't his fault he kept getting new contracts.

The cheapest option, IOR don't give a shit about the club. They need to hire a 'magician' to work wonders with some crap players.

If it's Humphreys would we not need to buy him out of his contract at chesterfield? Can't see the months leaving kens wallet for that.

We have far worse footballers playimg for us right now.

Humphreys isn't 'hated' by many Pools fans, hardly any, possibly only one
