According to the Mail they are shutting their Town Centre store at start of next year.

Maybe turn it into another Greggs.

Be canny over the marina, free parking and close to work for me to pop in for lunch.

The towns dead, unless it does something amazing to the marksys spot mind.

I reckon either a B&M, Home Bargains or Poundstretcher

Another blow for Middleton Grange. Difficult to see it recovering - too many people shop out of town these days.

They might as well start the plans for housing on the shopping centre now. M & S pulling out is not good.

There's no wonder people shop out of town... You have to pay for parking to go to shops which are awful in a place that's populated by bored scumbags there for a day out wandering around.

If you want anything in particular there are huge shops elsewhere with free parking and nice surroundings.

The only way you'll get decent shops there is by the council reducing the rates for the place. From what I'm led to believe there's no chance of this and as such the only people opening there are high turnover stores that aren't quite big enough for retail park units. Pound shops, basically.

It's the same in towns and cities throughout the country. I don't know how much say the council have in rents as I believe the centre is owned by a private company, but they can do their bit when it comes to reducing business rates. Retail has changed forever with t'internet, supermarkets and retail parks, so they may as well act now rather than ignoring it and letting the centre become an eyesore.

Greggsworld would make a good theme park, or they could convert part of it into an A and E unit.

I'm off to the bank now to see if they will loan me the money for this, I'll try Dragons Den after that this idea is a winner.

I've thought of rides and everything. Dare you ride the the Sausage Rollercoaster? The terrifying Steak Bake Shaker. If you fancy a more sedate pace get a rubber ring and float on the lazy twat river which takes you straight to the bar of the King Johns for a day of state funded drinking. Peter Owens is to be the face and torso of Greggsworld.

Face and torso? Will it fit? We aren't talking about the Metro Centre.

You could have the Peter Owen Off Roading Area, made to look like Seaton beach complete with your own fully tax payer funded 4 x 4, with Police and journalists from the Mail and a drive thru cash point for collecting your benefits.

Brilliant! You could also have a setting-yourself-on-fire simulator and mocked up courtroom.
